http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/9733/logoiq8.gif Hi,
I'm Olivier Pauwels, some of you may know me some may not.
But a while ago I had bought the domain www.templatenation.net with the idea of setting up a new project.
Now, due to lack of time this never happend (so far), but now I'm really going to set this up.
EDIT: note the splash page on the current site above is outdated.
Simon is not helping due to lack of time ;).
I'll update it soon
What is templatenation ?
------------------------------------------------------
TemplateNation will be an all free webmarket where new or experienced designers can post their templates/designs up for sale.
You could compare it to templatemonster but free to post.
Design skills needed ?
------------------------------------------------------
I think it's quite obvious that all posted designs will have to go trough moderation first before they ever appear on the site.
This is to prevent spam, or extremely bad designs to get on the site.
But mainly, it would be open for everyone, from average to highly skilled.
Payments
------------------------------------------------------
We won't have an online payment system, basicly it's up to you to comment on a design to contact the creator and discuss/pm how to set up payments.
Features
------------------------------------------------------
user:
- Register
- login/out
- public profile
- edit profile
- change password
- trust level
system:
- post design
- report design
- report user
- private messages
- comment on designs (a way of contacting the publisher)
TN-Mods
- accept/decline designs
- edit designs
- edit comments
- check/respond to reports
That's what I'm thinking of right now, if you have any other suggestions please don't hesitate to post ;)
EDIT2: Note, once the site gets going, a forum might be added.
The design & system
------------------------------------------------------
The design can be previewed right -here (http://2nd-design.com/templatenation)-
Staff
------------------------------------------------------
At the moment I'm not going to pick moderaters yet.
As soon as the system is ready I will make a new topic with details about beta-testers & staff.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please do bear in mind that TN-staff will not be paid, these are voluntary jobs.
The system is yet to be coded, and might take a while though, as I am not a PHP-Master. (Unless some volunteers want to help out on the system.)
Thanks,
Olivier P.
