I was just wondering,
But you know how we get coloured VIP, can we have a non coloured one? Where it still puts you out as a non VIP member?
I think a lot of people would buy it including my self.
Not all of us want a coloured name with a VIP logo thing where the stars go.

most people do though.

Doesn't harm in making another group though does it?
An extra group for members that might want it. Not everybody wants to have a coloured name. A lot of people prefer stars and people will just want it so they can see what git -repped them.
Same with a name change. Thats why I only bought VIP.
You could just ask for your VIP subscription (whatever colour it was) to be set to a secondary group and have Habbox (Bronze / Silver / Gold etc) Member as your primary group. That way you would have the features but it wouldn't be the main group. That's better than having a non-coloured VIP subscription as I don't think many would buy it tbh.

I see your point, But it surely isn't hard work and won't cause problems in another group? Fast transactions and no need to PM a VIP editor.

True enough, another subscription type wouldn't exactly hurt :).

Well thats my view.
As usual somebody will reply as it is life threatening if they do this.

Basically along the name of something "Invisible VIP" so it shows as normal colour name (normal greyish or DarkRed for staff) and staff, that would be a nice idea but not sure if alot of people would buy, but no harm done if no one buys :)

Exactly! I think it is a great idea. I will 100% buy it.

I personally see the main point of my VIP is
Custom HTML usertitle
Biggest Avatar
See who repped me
and i love the name colour rather than dark red, so personally i'd stick with purchasing coloured VIP, but at the end of the day each person is an individual and has their own opinions on what they like / want from the feature. I dont see the harm in adding it to subscriptions even if it did gain next to no sales its still some people interested in it and doesnt exactly cost to add the subcription.

Thats a very good idea :)
Some people might not buy vip because they like to keep a low profile.
I hope they bring it out.

Because you lose out on the coloured name you could get a longer subscription for the same price.

I think that is over doing it. :P
It's still VIP but with no colour. It's the members choice.

i asked someone for similier before, but they've resigned now. i think it was ash i asked. he said something like it causes confusion for the admins and management or something. i do think it is a good idea though, as not everyone buys it for the name colour. or they could just make it so on the "Group Memberships" page you can select what your display usergroup is.

I for 1 will 100% buy it once my current subscription runs out, can't you see how it goes for a month or 2?

I agree with you but its pretty simple to set it up so cant see why they would'nt give it a go.
Why would admin need to know if somebody is vip? of course they could check easily enough if there was any reason they needed to.
the subscription ends on its own and if the user had access to the vip forums to ask for stuff to be set up they must be vip

Not too bad of an idea, I'll talk with MAD about it. The only issue I saw was if the member was a VIP, it only matters with closing threads and that really.

Maybe if we look into making a "View VIP Members" page which works similar to the Forum Leaders (Now called Staff List), like the original plan was, then we could see who are members of this group.
I am sure there is a way to do it, I might even look into it.

Well I want it for:
Hide the identity of the VIP (I am sneaky so I can see who actually -repped me :P),
See who repped me,
More PM size,
Lock/Close my own thread,
That's all really... Not bothered about avatars etc.
I really can't see 1 problem with this...

Its a nice idea as it would create more revenue for the forum and it only takes a few minutes to set it up etc. :P

Sorry this won't be happening - it has been discussed with upper management and it has been rejected for the following reasons:
- We don't really want to add any more colours as theres a point when it just gets silly having so many. Most big forums offer 1-3, we offer far more than that.
- The next point is that we want VIPs to be clearly shown visable so we can tell who should be allowed a bigger avatar, bigger sig and a user title for moderation purposes.
- We want it vip's to stand out so if someone bad reps, he/she will know if he can see he has who repped him.

You dont need to add any more colours just a thread in the VIP forum requesting your VIP to be hidden, not displayed as default. Simple.
- The next point is that we want VIPs to be clearly shown visable so we can tell who should be allowed a bigger avatar, bigger sig and a user title for moderation purposes.
Another simple way around it, add a IF condition to the profile or postbit which only Moderators can see which says "This user is VIP" its really easy to do. And tbh, stops you moaning.
- We want it vip's to stand out so if someone bad reps, he/she will know if he can see he has who repped him.
Yes, but thats reputation and not the colour. keep up.
I want VIP but i dont want the colour.
Srsly, if were paying for it anyway then you cant moan.

I was not AGM when I wrote that so had no input on any possible new VIP.
I quite liked the idea of being vip but looking like a normal member but if it has recently been discussed I doubt there will be a change over this.
I never thought about the avatar and sig rule so agree with Mad unless normal user looking vip's had to keep within normal member size limits? if you bought it to look like a normal member and then using vip features that made you look like a vip would be silly.
The debate continues but I doubt it will come in now.

I don't appreciate your tone. Like I said, this has been discussed and has been rejected already. VIPs must be clearly visible to mods and everyone else.

Why do they?
Plus, just have Habbox VIP in the user title.

Because of rules that are slightly different towards VIPs that normal members/staff such as the sig rules, avatar rules and user title rules plus any future features.

Here's an idea. ;)
They look like normal users with a navy username but it's in BOLD that way people will know they're VIP but they get the normal colour. :D

Black VIP is as discreet as it needs to be in my opinion. Like MAD said a lot of (Super) Moderators would waste their time thinking a user was breaking a rule, then checking to find out they are VIP.

Alright so if we break them its our fault. :) And as others said we must have VIP in title, and tbh no users can ahev bigger avatar unless there VIP anyway, unless there like l33t posters which is similar to vip anyway...
