The Best Film Trilogy Ever?

What, in your opinion, is the best film trilogy ever? I thought it would be cool to see everyones opinions and interests.

I know it's not easy to think of the best tiliogy off the top of your head, so heres a few worth mentioning to help you decide.

For anyone that doesn't know... Trilogies are film series that now or currently have three films in its series.

Also, Starship Troopers 3, Little Fockers (Sequel to Meet The Fockers), Toy Story 3, The Grudge 3 and Ice Age 3 are all being made so soon they will also be trilogies. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

In my opinion, it's between Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings. If I had to choose between them, I would probably choose Lord of the Rings. But thats a really hard decision, so I don't know really. :P

Spiderman and Shrek are excellent. I've loved every Spiderman film so far and I'm a huge Marvel fan. Shrek 1 was decent, Shrek 2 was amazing, Shrek 3 was entertaining but I still think that they can't compare to Lord of the Rings. :P I am very confused as to why Spiderman cost more than Lord of the Rings.

I agree once again. :P I'm supprised they actually finished Blade 3... Wesley Snipes strangled the writer on the set because he didn't like how he wrote the Blade Trinity movie script. I guess I'd be pretty ****** off if I was being upstaged by some idiots aswell. Welsey also said that the screenplay, director, and cast were foisted upon him without his knowledge or approval, that he was harassed and defamed because of his race, and that he is still owed part of his fee – some $3m. It's rumoured that he has now been kicked out of Hollywood aswell. I don't know if it was because he strangled that guy or not.

Just looked at the 'Best Trilogy Ever' poll on imdb.com. It was out of Lord of the Rings, the Star Wars Original trilogy and the Godfather, since they had been voted best 3 trilogies.
