Anyone done it, or currently doing it?

My work unit is 70% done atm. I dont know what Im getting out of it, but I get the idea its helping the world and all that stuff :P.

I got 15% and then my hard drive screwed up and I had to get a new PSN ID.

Jeeze it takes a while though

Folding@home is basically a way to connect all playstation 3's to make a giant supercomputer. They do research into genes and ways to cure diseases such as cancer.
What would take upto 100 years on normal supercomputers can be achieved in mere days with each PS3 getting a small portion of the data to process :D.

Plus all the dots on the globe thingy are locations of active PS3's. Bright the dot, more PS3s in the area.

But yeah, it is boring

If your going to leave your PS3 on, leve it on that :)
