Hello, is it possible to make a web script that dose this
You plug your Mp3 in to your computer it pick it up on the website and then
u can play it over the website with like a theme of an ipod
PLEASE help

No, I don't think it's possible.
Since when has a site (without ActiveX or something) been able to access your computers files.

With activex i should imagine its possible? You could temporarily get the file location from a file input form which it then plays :S i think thats possible.

I doubt he could code an ActiveX control though :rolleyes:

That would require the file to be uploaded to the server as a server cannot read the file from someone's HD without it being uploaded or something.

There's no way really you're going to do that unless, like Simon said, you know how to code an ActiveX control.

Ive seen it done before, by a company called JAVAZOOM or something, its atually Java but with a html input form.
think its http://www.javazoom.net/applets/applets.html mp3 player

That UPLOADS the files. It would be a space killer and he wanted them to STREAM not upload I think.
