well yeah, of course i'm also trying to get referrals, that's the only thing you have to do, it's a small effort for what you get.. for example 2 referrals for an ipod shuffle or 13 for a PS3

you wont win anything
no you don't "win" it, you have to get the referrals yourself, but then you "get" it

Not a lie, i got a IPOD 60GB through this, but cost me £14 to stop the offers and get them to stop spamming my house.

Technically you don't get any of it free, as you have to pay to complete the offers, so you are paying for it in the long run, but just with more hassle.

they only ship to the UK, but I have a friend there, I'll give them his address and he'll send it to me.

you only pay once, maybe 10 pounds, then you're done, you don't even get emails or something
and there are even offers, that are completely free, for example the DVD renting, but the disadvantage is, that it takes a little longer, about 2 weeks, till it's completed and you can start getting referrals.

Those charges are probably the reason why more people DON'T do this.

I never had problems with that, you probably had bad luck choosing an offer

You complete offers and these offers give the company 'giving' away the items money for the people going on their site.
They are a waste of time.

just watch the video.. the company gets money from the companies, of which you complete the offers, and that's how they finance the giveaways
for the other companies it's also profitable because a small percentage of the users stick to their site.

because when people click on that link and sign up it counts as one referral. one step closer to his Nintendo Wii or whatever he is getting.

the video is a little older. they used to give away only free ipods in the beginning and freeipods.com was their site then. now they've extended their range of products and are giving away all kind of electronical stuff, but it's still working in the old way.

correct, but it's a giving and taking. i've also been referred by somone else, otherwhise i wouldn't know this site and would not have received a free PS3. if you sign up, you will also need other people to click your link, that's how it works.

To be able to get your ipod you will have to sign upto one of those free ringtone offers , from what i've heard they will cost you a ton when they send you text messages and cannot be stopped unless you pay them a certain fee.

uhm nopes, there are several different offers and as far as i know, there's none of them about ringtones... you can for example sign up to a dvd rental site for free, test it 2 weeks (you don't have to do anything actually, you don't have to rent DVDs), and after 2 weeks you quit, and there you go. and i never received spam or advertisment, otherwhise i wouldn't be doing this again..
