Yeah, so I'm having a really crap time at college. The reasons for this are, I'm struggling to keep up in the lessons which mean I'm behind most people and failing, I do have a few friends but they don't seem to talk to me or invite me out as much as they do with everyone else. Also, it depresses the hell out of me, to the point where I'm almost in tears when I'm in lessons or waiting for the lesson to start. I had to miss a lesson once because I was crying, and then a week because I was dealing with other problems ontop of struggling with college.
I've told my parents about this, and that I want to drop out of the course and get a job instead but they just said that I was taking the mick, told me I'm not going to see my girlfriend again and were going to take all forms of communication with her away from me. And, when I told my mom she just said my dad won't be happy and she'll get most of the blame, and that they won't be getting any money into the house via benefits or whatever.
Which just makes me feel like they care more about being happy and getting money more then they do about me. I offered to get a job but my parents are being unfair about that, giving me a week to do so or they'll be completely done with me, which my dad already is because he hasn't said a word to me since some point yesterday. And, they tell me it won't just come to me and I have to go out and get it but I've spent most days since saturday crying my eyes out and not really in a mood to go and get a job at the moment when they are forcing me to practially walk to every supermarket and get applications when I have problems with my back which affects how far I can walk, which I commented on and they didn't care about that either.
What the hell should I do about this? It's really getting me down because they seem to be treating me like crap, and it's getting to the point where I just wanna walk out or move out or something because living here is a completey and utter nightmare.

You do not have to be in college, I am assuming your 16 so you can just leave?
I never liked school as I didn't like being told what to do by teachers and who works when they are in a class with all there mates? Not me, so it was pointless me being there.
So I told my mum I was leaving, we argued, screamed at each other etc, but then practically the next day I never went back. Now I have a full time job which is on quite good pay for my age, its not in some place like tesco's etc.
Do what you feel is right, not what your parents think is right. I hate parents who try and live your life.

stop whining. Honestly, your saying you haven't got much of a social life but are struggling to keep up in lessons, if your not going to have much of a social life atleast spend your time working instead of playing habbo or wasting time on forums. Your parents know that it's best for you to stay in college, and you probably know that but there's no point even going if your not going to work hard. You want a job in a supermarket but can hardly walk, good idea. You want to go get a job, but spend the day crying, good idea.
I think you need to grow up a little, i also think your parents are right, things aren't going to come to you, not just about job applications either, at college, if you work hard enough outside of college it'll become alot easier and less stressful in lessons.
Also stop crying, it's pointless and makes you more depressed and wastes time when you could be doing more constructive things such as going to the supermarket or working or college work.

Ok spend one night just doing all work to catchup. Once youve done this you should be on top of things. I reccommend doing a little homework at the end of each break you get and then some more as soon as lessons are over giving you the rest of the evening to do what you like.
Go out with your friends sometimes but you may have to ask them if there going anyway rather then them asking you as its easy to forget or think people dont want to go out.
Once your on top of everything it shouldnt be hard to get a job and fit it in at some point in the week.

Don't drop out of college because you'lll probabbly regret it in the future, it's only 2 years of your life and you'll be able to come out of college and get a lot better job than you could get now.
With your College work maybe talk to teachers for extra support, even though you might be quite far behind you can probably still catch up. Don't let work build up, do it as soon as you can and don't try and do it all in one go.
Maybe invite your friends from college out and then they might start you invite you out.
Hope this helps and everything works out okay :].
I finished 3 years of computing in college, with certain diplomas and qualifications before I realised it wasn't for me. I hated being skint (was in collge for most of the week). I had a job, but it was really crappy because I had to work god awful hours then get up for college.
So yeah, I dropped out. I foung myself a great job, untill i got made redundant, (just my luck). I've been struggling to hold down a proper job since, but i've always got work in agencies, through family etc. I don't regret any of it.
Point in all of that? Do what you thinks right for you, not what other people think.

So, because I'm on a forum and have an habbo signature I'm on it all the time? Because your actually wrong there because I'm actually rarely on habbo, and yeah I'm on the forum a bit, but isn't anyone else?
I know I shouldn't crying and what not, but the fact is I'm probably just an emotional person who finds it hard to deal with these things and crying is what I do. I understand you were trying to help or whatever, but you were extremely harsh about it.
Thanks to everyone else though.

Char talk to your college tutors and explain that your behind and dont know how to catch up or you dont have the time to catch up and they will try and sort something out for you. If you realy have got your heart set on leaving college though then you should try and get a job which makes you earn enough money to be able to pay your parents 'rent' to make up for the benifit loss. Your not a dumb girl so dont settle for a crappy job, try and make the most of your abilitys.
As for your Dad trying to stop you seeing your girlfriend, dont let him! My girlfriends mum moved my girlfriend away from me as a way of trying to split us up... she moved away about 6 months ago now and even though her mum has tried her best to split us up (banning internet / smashing up her mobile phone / banning home phone / not letting her stay at mine etc) were still together. Your dad wont be angry forever, he will get over it and stop being selfish soon enough.
Talk to me on msn if you still need help, you already have my addy,
Danny

i'd tell my parents to **** off, they shouldn't live your life. do what you want to, not what they want you to do - unless what they want you to do is a really good idea. :D
honestly though, waiting for your friends to ask you out wont work - i'd suggest asking them if they're doing anything, then invite them out.
