As esurient said it charges VAT on each product, it will also add an additional charge for things such as

Insertion Fee
Gallery Fee
Scheduled Listing Fee
Final Value Fee

etc.

I've only ever been charged to list the item by eBay. They have never taken anything off the final sell amount for me. The only time that's happend is when someone has payed with something other than a direct PayPal transfer to my PayPal account and they take something from it for handling the transaction.

If you check 'Seller Account' then it shows something like

Account Activity
Previous invoice amount: (View invoices) £93.79
Payments and credits since last invoice: -£93.78
Fees since last invoice: (View account status) £0.00

Current balance: £0.00

thats the fee's etc if you view invoice and scroll down it shows what its all for :P

EDIT: Its 17.5% ;)

It's 15%

Note: Stated eBay fees include 15% VAT for residents of the EU. This is calculated at the Luxembourg rate of VAT. Find out why. Usually invoices sent to you will quote fees with VAT included.

On the invoice it states 17.5% and has the fee under VAT..

Strange, it says 15% on the page above, but 17.5% on invoice?
