The moderation team do more trouble than the actual members on this forum!
People are getting unfair infractions for no reason!
i dunno if its just me but is anyone else noticing this..
Edited by ---MAD--- (General Manager): Thread locked. Please use the report infraction problems (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=279102) thread to report unfair infractions.

If you feel infractions are unfair its simple enough to get it reversed. Most infractions are for a reason though.

That kind of contradicts what you've said to be honest. These threads are becoming tiresum now, You know where to forward your complaints and you have done so. I don't see why you need to make a public thread aswell, You haven't really given much reason to why you think this either. Although I welcome criticisms perhaps you could be abit more specific :). On another note, Jay is a great person and a very good moderator.

I actually disagree, the infraction I got off him lately was, simply, stupid and din't break the rules.
To be honest, sometimes people break imaginary rules which aren't even listed in the rules section. A few weeks ago I got bored and read them, and I can safely say that pornography (rude images if it is filtered) is allowed in avatars and signatures. The foreign languages rule is also stupid, because it contradicts with another rule and being rude to other members when other members are rude contradicts. I we meant to be a two-faced community and just agree? No.

Both Yoshi and Jay are really good Smods. Both are very approachable, friendly but have to follow the rules as they are. Maybe Gommel's post was mild but they have to enforce the rules as they are which penalise even mild swearing as they stand so we can't blame them for that :)

As true as that maybe, but rudeness isn't just about swearing, you can do it the old fashioned way like I normally do, or use proper terminology which isn't really directly offending a member, rather stating what they would be if they thought that.

I never seen you use that before, but clever :P
And at Catszy, I agree that they should adhere to the rules, but it doesn't mean you should assume something when whatever was mentioned meant something else. I said someone must be pretty mentally 'tarded for lying about something which wasn't a direct insult. I was saying you have to be when lie about a dead relative for example, not that the person actually is.

:) Hi guys.
I appreciate the concern that you have expressed regarding these 2 infraction you two don't feel are fair. I've reviewed both of these infractions again just to check that I've not made a mistake. I have found that both are breaking the rules and set guidelines with must follow as moderators and punish appropriately. Yoshimitsui has also reviewed these too infractions and deemed them fair also. GommeInc, you infraction was actually covering 2 things, firstly we don't allow rudeness on the forum and we also don't allow people to accuse/name others of lying on the forum. As for the other warning this was for using an abbreviations that contained the "F" word in it which avoided the filter and as it was only a warning because it was not in an offencive term but still breaks the rules. I'm happy if still do not agree and you wish to contact a higher member of staff regarding this but what some people need to remember is, it's not the moderators who set the rules. It's the case that we are here to enforce them and if the rule say "Do not swear including use of abbreviations" or "Do not insult other forum members" then that is all you need to do to avoid being infracted for that reason. On both infractions it's quite clear why you were infracted but I appreciate your concerns and you are as I have already said, welcome to contact either J1MI or ---MAD--- regarding these infractions and I'm sure they will give their point of view on my decision to enforce the rules in these two areas. We are not here to annoy you, we are simply here to make sure everyone behaves and we don't have people shouting abuse at each other and ruining the forums.
If you have any more questions or comments feel free to PM me and I'm sure I'll be able to answer them for you.

I used the F word in an abbreviation? As far as I am aware, I didn't, I called someone using correct terminology an idiot, or sick, for obviously lying about something that will and probably did cause arguments or upset among members.
What I said was this:
I see... If you are joking, you really are mentally ******ed... What do you gain from lying? Nothing, you have no life "/
I didn't say "You ARE mentally ******ed for joking", I said "IF you are joking, you must be mentally ******ed."
So I wasn't actually offending a member nor insulting them, which you seem to claim. I was stating that if he thought otherwise he would be.
Also, the rule about lying doesn't exist, so that is one of these imaginary rules which doesn't actually exist on this forum ;)
So if a member is actually lying? What does the forum suggest we do? Play along with it? That's a stupid way to deal with it "/ Or do you call it spam, which it was "/
Galaxay1
31-10-2007, 03:40 PM
Actually, GommeInc that would be breaking two rules.
1. Insulting another forum member as even if you werent calling them the first bit your still calling them sad.. which in my view is insulting them/bullying them.
and
2. Accusing/naming anyone of lying/scamming/hacking or any other bad things.
Catzsy
31-10-2007, 04:00 PM
I think the rule is this:
A11. Do not name anybody for hacking, scripting, trashing or any other bad things - Because we don't want innocent people being accused of illegal activities, we don't allow accusing others at all. This means it's also NOT allowed to accuse Habbo-X or Habbo Staff of abusing their powers or anything else. Also posting any images of people is NOT proof of them doing anything wrong as it could be an alteration. Even if you do have proof and know its 100% real, it is still not allowed to mention that the person has scammed/hacked etc as this starts arguments.
Lying would come under 'any other bad things' - maybe the rule could be more specific though.
The rules for insulting and bullying are totally different though, the latter being much worse than the the first.

1) I was not referring to you with the "F" word. I said "as for the other warning" and I was talking to the creator of this thread - I apologise if this was not too clear. You broke the rule of insulting members and being rude, what you said could easily offend someone and secondly you accused another member of lying which also breaks the rules. If a member is lying we suggest you simply do not accuse or name them of lying as you can't always be 100% certain and if you are telling them they are a liar just encourages arguments.
2) Yes the lying rule does exist - check your infraction it reads that it is issued for "Accusing/Naming other members of scamming/lying/hacking or any other bad things". We don't just make these rules up - they are real. ;)
I hope the above has answered your questions.
Thanks.

Saying loudly that its 'FUCT' is normally very stress relieving and geeky at the same time.
But at the same time you can refer to people as being FUCT.

So It's quite clear what you meant when you said "*****" and if you didn't then I suggest you don't use this common abbreviation as it avoids the filter. ;) We infract people who use these because almost all of them know what "*****" means and know what they said but if we said we'd reverse them if they didn't mean what they normally mean everyone would claim they didn't mean it and we'd not know who did and who didn't mean to use that abbreviations that avoids the filter therefore we punish anyone who says it. However you only got a warning as it doesn't seem you were using it to be offencive. :)
