Well i have a friend who is/was asian but he got his skin bleeched because he didnt like the way people treated him and that kind of stuff, his family didnt disown him or anything though.

But i wondered if a black or asian person put their hand in bleech for too long while washing their oven pans would their hand go white?

My friend is 23 went to america to get it done and he wont talk about it but anyway can somone answer my question and also if im wrong how does it work?, Also he looks almost too white and has been told to stey out of the sunlight until a medical adviser checks to see if his skin will eventually beable to stand it.

Bleach will poison you if you stand around with your hand in a bucket of it.

Yep, but it's not natural as in you're born with it. It can go a sort of ginger when exposed to too much sun. It sort of bleaches it, but doesn't make it to the blond stage.

I have no idea how skin bleaching works, but I doubt it is actually done using supermarket bleach. I imagine it is a harmful chemical which somehow wipes out dark tones in skin.

I don't think so, if so then they'd be a literal freak of nature.

Sounds like something you'd hear going on in the 50s

Shame that your friend felt out of place so much they felt the need to change there skin tone, i hope that they are happier :)

I'm not sure on the topic of bleech

It wont be the same bleached used as supermarkets, lol. And i think its common sense not to leave your hands in a bucket of bleach for too long.
