I have some Qs :}
i've had my nose done for like, 2 years+ now, it's still red around the stud - any idea why?
and it keeps on slipping out, I wear a corkscrew bar, not a straight one - how could I stop this? :} the stud is the correct gauge, if you were wondering.. I pretty much always wear the same one.
now my tongue.. i've had it done for just over a month.. i've already had it downsized... the bar is still wayy to long, I can fit the width of my thumb on the "excess bar", is it possible to get even smaller ones - because it's irritating
merci!
+rep to anyone who helps me

Nose thingies.. can't remember the name lol, but yeah anyway nose thingies slip out fairly often just because there's not much holding them in place - I doubt your nose is very thick :P Dunno why it's still be red though, probably irratation from moving around so much. You might be able to get a smaller bar or something, not too sure.
As for tongue, yes you can downsize again, I think mine was downsized twice before it was comfortable so shouldn't be a problem :)
Go to Claires accessories they have a thing for nose studs to clean it or sort it out, it should be fine :)!!
if not, go to a professional place and ask for some tips.. :)

thankss!
do I need to go back to the piercing place to get it downsized or can I just buy a bar from somewhere and do it myself?
idk, I hardly move it... I'm wondering if it scarred though - I got it done over a 2 week break from school, I had to take it out and I forced it through after every class, so I obviously moved it a lot during this period - although this was like, a year ago... I would of thought it would of gone by now.
ooo, and what's the normal gauge for a tongue piercing? I got mine pierced at a 12, which I thought was unusual (sorry, idk the size in UK gauge sizes, this is in the US sizes) - I always thought they got pierced @ 14, mine is too big and all of the mainstream stores, hot topic etc.etc. sell them at 14..
and idk, it's not dirty or anything, it's just slipping out for some reason ;s

Probably best to get it done at the piercing shop, they should really fit it for free anyway if you're buying one from there and they'll know how long you should have it. Not sure what normal sizes are as it's done in mm here not gauges, but even so you can get it stretched like any other piercing so some places should sell the bigger jewellery. Also if the balls at the end of the bar are big enough you might be able to get away with putting 14gauge in (they're smaller for the higher numbers right?) and just be careful while it closes around it, but don't know how good an idea that would be.
For the moving around on your nose stud chap I meant that the movement from it always coming out, that could be irratating it and making in enflamed. Again, I'd ask at the piercing place if they're not incompetant ^_^

yee they're smaller as they go up, and haha, I can't buy the balls from a normal store too because my bar is internally threaded, all of the ones in the stores are for externally threaded bars ;[
I couldddd change it, but when I had it downsized, it hurt more than actually getting it done lol!

Mental, the internally threaded ones are usually pretty big :S should knock them out for doing a massive piercing :P

i've read that they're usually 14's though, meh - I don't mind it being a little bigger.

Hmmm took mine out to measure against that chart, can't work out if it's 12 or 14, it seems to fit both lol. Seeing as how that's the case putting in some 14 jewellery should be fine, because the balls will still hold it in place.

that's cool then!
and haha, I wish I could just take mine out like that, the top ball fell off mine in English yesterday, I must of spent 20 mins, no joke, trying to fit it back on.
it's pretty fiddly at first lol.
