i am 14 (15 in 3 weeks) and was thinkin of getting a saturday job

First question

do you know anywere that will take me on every saturday and what kind of pay ill get


second question

DO i need a N.I Numebr before i apply for a job and how do i get one

for question two, you don't get an NI Card till you're 16

yes. you can get a saturday job without a national insurance card.

You might find that some companies may not employ you as you are only 15. Also I believe you may get reduced pay what with being under-age.

yeh but is a limit of how much they can go under minium wage and can i work the same shift as peopl over 16 like a 9 hour shift

you cant work same hours as people over 16 no.

yes ive thought about it all i want to do is work a saturday every week what is there to think about

there's a lot you need to think about really.
especially when it comes to GCSEs and that, most places wont hire you because of that.
Will it get in the way of your social life?
What about coursework etc..

well research it..
there's loads of sites explaining what you can/cant do at your age, you can work etc..

go to connexions
or good ol' Google

Employment of Young People (under 16)

Before this date, young people cannot be employed in the following circumstances:

(a) where the child is under 14 years of age

(b) before the close of school hours on any day on which they are required to attend school

(c) for more than two hours on any day on which they are required to attend school

(d) before 07.00 or after 19.00 on any day

(e) for more than two hours on any Sunday

(f) to do any work other than light work, ie work which does not jeopardise a child's safety, health, development, attendance at school or participation in work experience

(g) for more than 5 hours (8 if the child is 15 or over) on any Saturday or on weekdays during school holidays

(h) for more than 25 hours each week (35 if the child is 15 or over) during school holidays

1 t wont affect coursework or gsces cause its in weekend my social life will just be the same if not better ill have more money to go out at ngiht with eg cineam ice sakting etc etc
