San andreas for pc? Does it work on vista?

What the title says, does san andreas for pc work on vista coz it only says like windows and xp coz vista wasnt made when it came out???

I think, that vista make games that are suitable to be played on vista. But, you could always try it and see what happens?

Then you're running the v1.00 of the game, when v2.00 came in a few weeks later it stopped working.

Yeah I play GTA SA-MP (which downgrades from v2 to v1 patch) and theres people on there who have vista.

It should work normally, but if it doesn't, right click the autorun.exe in the CD/DVD drive and go to properties, then compatibility and tell it to run as Windows XP, so the game thinks Vista is XP.

You can only play SAMP with version one but you need to download a seperate program to downgrade

Yeah I know thats why I said "which downgrades from v2 to v1 patch". Maybe I didn't make that bit clear because reading over it- it doesn't even make sense but I meant I've got a patch in order to play SA-MP so it is v1. :)
