indonesia, unfortunately, is found along the lines of many earth plates. when these plates move towards or further away from each other, it causes many volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, earthquakes etc.

singapore is very near indonesia. yet, there has never been any natural disasters here so far (thankfully, and hopefully none in the future) because we are located in the middle of an earth plate.

this news is kind of worrying though.
