I was browsing through a couple of room a while ago and came across this, I'm not the owner of the room it came up in and some of the furni didn't show?

No, that proves nothing.
My screenshot is telling you; Some furniture is not shown because of the limit.

The alert itself has been around for a while now.

It doesn't matter whether the room is old or new, eventually will you get a warning that you've exceeded the limit although there are ways around it.
