Today I had a meeting with my Connexions Advisor at my school, and I got loads of leaflets and crap.

I've decided I'm going to go to Oxpens College, which to me looks REALLY good, and there is an open evening next wednesday. After that I shal send my application :D

I plan to take

Level 3 Business course, TT&L course and Public Services.
So yeah Level 3 course for them all, which I think is AS?
I will need atleast 5 C grades at GCSE to get in, hopefully I will..

Anyone else got any plans yet? Who are in year 11?

I'm in year 11, yet to even think about which courses to take atm.

Either i go down the athletic road and take p.e and biology chemistry etc and hope for 2012 olympics tbh.. or the cheffing road and take food tech. so yeah dunno yet, my school doesn't offer both. :|

I went looking round a Sixth Form for the second time this week.. this evening.
Was good. Really enjoyed it. Learnt a bit about the courses, and I've made up my mind about what Im gonna do and stuff.. so Im quite organized right now.

I've applied for the place, so I just gotta wait. :)!

eeeeh a bit of a dilemma there, but you still got time :D i wouldn't leave it much longer than after christmas mind you, and you need to think what you'd enjoy most/most logical/in your best interest.

it was in a language called 'pascal' which id never heard of before that

and the programs we made were like 'type your name here' and then it said 'hello jamie' and that was like it

im in year 11, and im going sixth form but not 100% on what i wanna do though. so far ive want to do psychology. but dunno what else to pick. LOL

i have a better chance of getting into the sixth form i want too because where i currently am, does gcse and sixth form so i have a better chance compared to "outsiders". i think/hope anyway.

But I'm having a 1on1 meeting with my c/a soon, and I'll talk to her lots about it and stuff.

Not sure if I want to go there though, even if a lot of their facilities are amazing and get a lot of Students going on to Oxford or Cambridge...
Too many Students I think for me. I believe they're taking in 1600 this year which is quite a lot seeing as I'd be one of 1600 in a single year.
I'm looking at others too. Was kinda impressed with one down the road but i've got open evenings for two more to come. A place called Salesian and other, Edgebarrow.

I don't understand how you can do education on photography you just take pictures.

I'm in year 11 and i've been to no open evenings as of yet.
One coming up this month though on the 28th. I'm planning to apply for three sixth forms. The school that i'm currently at (Can fall back on if I get bad GCSE's), and two others (Need 5 B's, which I should get).
I'd like to do English, Media, Sociology and History. However if I can't do these four for some reason like they're not in the right option blocks, I wouldn't mind doing Drama or Buisness aswell.

i'm pretty sure on what i'm doing, i'm deffo not going my school's sixth form and i have dates for the two sixth forms i'm deffo guna go to either one of them, i just need to do my mocks first and then start applying in january
