I dont really get it, can someone explain it to me?

Say you were 10 crafting but you want to make a Dragonstone anumlet.

You could click assist on someone with the needed level and if they agreed you could cut it withouty giving it to them, they get the xp but you keep the amulet

The one with more xp gets it if I was 1 cooking and u was 90 And I wanted to cook sharks you would get the xp if I was 50 and u was 50 its random.

How long does the assistance last for? and is it possible to stop it at anytime?
