Okay, I've found this which is looking really good tbh.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-Xbox-360-Elite-Console/dp/B000PD0HQE/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/202-3981240-0749459?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1194630803&sr=8-1

I just want to know; does this pack come with a Charger thing that plugs into the controller? I'm seeing under "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought" sub-heading the items that I mean; Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit (Black). So I'm presuming that it doesn't but can anyone confirm this for me?

Also, here: http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/hardware/x/xbox360elitesystem/default.htm

It lists all of the stuff that comes with it (this is the same deal as the one on amazon I think as I found a link somewhere and somehow) and it says "Xbox LIVE Silver Membership" and I just want to know - how long is that for? As under it it specifically says "One month subscription to Xbox LIVE Gold"...

And also, with what is on amazon; does it come with whatever you need to be able to connect to the internet or not? If not; what do you need to be able to do so and where can I find the item?

All answers are given +15repz.

Thanks.

if you PM the guy whos selling and ask him what you're getting (ask if you're recieving the items necessary to connect to the interweb) then he should be able to tell you.

Xbox silver is always available , it never runs out. Gold you have to buy , yeah it comes with what you need for the net ( the ethernet ) if you wanted wired , if not wireless. And no it doesnt come with a charger :]

Thanks but there isn't a seller I don't believe. Amazon is like an online ordering organisation so they're like brand new and not owned or sold by anyone if that's what you're getting at. it isn't like ebay.
Thanks for trying though; +rep.

So with this I'll have Xbox LIVE Silver forever? And I want it wireless so what does that mean? Will it come with a wireless thing?
Great help. +rep.

Yes yes you will :]

And if you want wireless you'll have to fork out 60 quid for a wireless adapter :[

I'll really get it forever? Cause I'm on this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/b/ref=amb_link_17669565_1/202-3981240-0749459?ie=UTF8&node=15826471&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=special-node-offers-2&pf_rd_r=1T7RFSE1NB1PFW5NVQVN&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=82380491&pf_rd_i=B000PD0HQE and it's saying "• Free and premium downloadable game and entertainment content via Xbox Live - includes 1 month free subscription"...

Amazon's being really unclear about this. :blue_doub
And under the Core it says "• Free silver membership to Xbox Live" but not its length. How annoying.

I need advice though...
I'm not going to get movies or anything and I really doubt that I'll fill the 20gb hard drive that the normal version has anyway.
What advantages would I exactly have? :S

Although it does say on the normal version: "The service also lets you download--and save on the console's hard drive--new missions, characters and vehicles for your favourite games." So that must take up a bit of space? Do you know if it'd cost real money or Gamerpoints?

EDIT: Also, what would I need to connect the Xbox 360 to my computer screen (it's a whole lot better than my TV's!)? I've seen a comment saying a "VGA Cable" - does this come with the pack?

Here is the Xbox 360 normal version link that I'm looking at: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0007SV72A/ref=amb_link_44690265_/202-3981240-0749459?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-3&pf_rd_r=1G7MJ4KS2Y1ZXE3WGDNF&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=149717091&pf_rd_i=15826471

I'd check gamestation or game out , they're dead good for free game deals btw.

Right , when you buy a premium you get a free months gold. This enables you to play others online. Normally if you have an account on XbL you just have silver which means you can download stuff through the marketplace :]

Oh and i'd get the premium , alot better than core. You may not fill it but at least then you can have the option to store music etc
You buy gamerpoints with real money to download extra content and stuff

Demos are free though.

I'd say contact amazon through there contact form and ask them.

Oh, and you have to buy wireless. :}

Thanks very much; but I'm still brimming with questions! :P

So Silver membership doesn't allow you to play others over the internet then? Gold does? I see, thanks.

I wasn't considering the Core. :P Just either the Elite or the Premium. Which one would you advise?

Can't you earn Gamerpoints buy accomplishing things on games? Or is that just a thing that adds to your gamerscore or whatever that is? So if on Smackdown vs Raw 2008 it does allow you to download updated rosters; would I need to pay for Gamerpoints? If so, how much do gamerpoints cost and do you have any idea of how much space most things would take on your hard drive?

Thanks for all the help! :D

Personally , the premium but others will tell you different. It depends if you want to play gamse and listen to abit of music or you want to watch movies and stuff , then i'd get the elite.
And you get a gamerscore when you get achievements which is basically like saying well done , this will improve your gamerscore which shows how good of a player you are.

Microsoft points are used for buying stuff , you buy them for like 17 quid on a card , i'm not too sure how much updated rosters will cost if anything :]
