Time Moderators

Heya

I was just thinking perhaps you should get a supermod who can be online during school times. I have been online all today and I have only seen 1 or 2 normal moderators which is perfectly understandable due to school however if someone spammed the forums with inappropiate images etc then shouldn't there be someone online to deal with it. I noticed at night there is a lot of moderators on so thats covered therefore it is just the daytime hours. This isn't a compaint or a moan just merely a suggestion so please dont tear me apart ;)

I noticed some forums have Night Moderators so whynot have Day Moderators/ School Mods. They could be just normal mods/supermods that were/am online during school times.

It is something we try to do but the problem is most the forum users/staff are UK based so that is hard as you can imagine.

You may be here at school times but I doubt you will get a trial unless you get a few reccomendations from moderators and report posts loads , but hey I am not an authority on that ;) . Good luck anyway

I think not to your last sentence. I do socialize. i am home tutored which is why I am on during the day. I go out with ym mates to cinemas , parks etc and I watch DvD's etc so I beleive your post is highly incorrect. If you can rpoove me wrong then I beg you to try

He only joined 2 month ago, I haven't seen him do much. He joins in with bullying in spam forum and posts random craps and starts a few arguments. I dislike him.

Basically, what you've just said isn't completely true.

Whilst Yoshi and OSH mainly can't be online during school hours - I can. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the only days that you won't see "Elkaa" every so often in the who's online box before 4:30pm.

If serious abuse takes part during these hours, then odds are few people will see it. If it's on a Mon/Wed/Fri, I'll pick up on it within a few minutes of it being posted. If it's not, then either Yoshi or OSH will grab it once they get to their PC.

The majority of abuse happens when school is out (suprize, suprize) so this isn't much of an issue, currently.

Yeah, he also said his trying to get earthquake perm banned/ and they talk about him in the staff forums.

The Idea is quite good in my opinion the only problem I see to it is that just because a moderator fits the time zone we might need this doesn't mean they can be trusted with Super Moderator powers. It takes a long time and alot of hard work to get up to that level and getting someone straight off to become a super moderator just for that time zone doesn't seem quite right to me. Although I'm sure your not suggesting that they would be a super moderator from the word go it's just something to think about. I have seen some moderators online during the usual school hours this does include the odd super moderator I've seen as I have seen the odd administrator online aswell. Although now Elkaa has returned he does seem to be on during the day and late at night which does cover what you were saying. Although this may be a problem I don't think it's something that needs to be dealt with with additional moderators, As long as there is an Admin or Super moderator on for sometime during the day things should keep running smootly. I do realise I might have rambled on and made no sence ;).

Yes but clearly that wa san understatement. Ihaven't been on ALL day. It is called exageration. Although even if I had surely its up to me.

As Elkaa said he is often online during school hours. However if he is not there is usually and admin or more that comes on during the day and can deal with anything extreamly urgent. Wheras if it's minor rule breaking it can wait until me or Jay have come home.
