This poem didn't turn out as I intended, each verse was supposed to finish with "do you notice me at all?" instead i got caught up in something and went with the flow. to briefly explain it, it's about a girl who's so madly in love with a boy, she doesn't even care that he abuses her and gradually as he becomes more abusive he... well... you'll see :p
Uncertainly I sit beneath you,
I watch as you stand tall.
Slowly I begin to wonder,
Do you notice me at all?
I want so much to love you,
But you make me feel so small,
So weak and so powerless,
Do you notice me at all?
Every time you hit me,
It makes me feel so wrong,
Each hard strike to my face,
Is like a birds sweet song.
It’s not in me to hate you,
For I can only love.
I want someone to help me,
To take me up above.
I wish someone could save me,
Who could stand up tall.
It would make me smile once more,
Just to see you fall.
Yet deep in my heart I still love you,
Do you notice me at all?
It seems you’ll never love me,
Finally I see.
Now all I do is wait,
For someone to set me free.
Another strike to my face,
At last you draw my blood.
Crimson droplets, rolling down,
As red as a rose’s bud.
This time I fall, my darling,
I hit the cold, stone floor.
And even though I’m dying now,
I love you even more.
The light is bright, my darling,
Dark clouds swirl above.
Now I must say goodbye to,
My one and only love.
