Apparently Treyarch (COD3) are developing this one. It's rumoured to have a WWII theme again...

Fail.

I think Infinity Ward will be back though, I expect maybe Post-Modern Warfare for Cod6 xD

Where's your source for this... I'm pretty sure its not going to be WWII and it will be developed by Infinity Ward. COD 3 had a different developer because Infinity Ward were busy with COD4 straight from 2.

COD5 is gonna be Treyarch, they did COD3 because they wanted to do another COD game since they did Big Red One and I think Finest Hour aswell
But Treyarch are doing 5 becase they were angry at Activision for letting Infinity Ward do it so Treyarch are doing the next one

Screw Treyarch they made spin offs from the series.
They have no right to make a sequel!.

INFINITY WARD ALL THE WAY

What Neil said

Plus it took about 2 years to make CoD4, in that time they had to like Treyarch do CoD3 to keep the moneys in, just think that CoD6 will be worth the wait like 4 was.

As long as it's as good as COD4 (probably unlikely) I'll buy it, becasue I still like World War II shooters. The whole thing fascinates me.

While everyone seems to be oohing and aahing at the upcoming Call of Duty (http://news.filefront.com/infinity-ward-not-making-call-of-duty-5/#) 4: Modern Warfare, it seems that Infinity Ward may not be developing Call of Duty 5. Don’t fret just yet though, as they’ll most likely be back for CoD6. Awhile back, publisher Activision decided they wanted to have a new Call of Duty game out every year, which didn’t leave enough time for Infinity Ward to create the games they wanted to. So a compromise was made after CoD2: Infinity Ward would get two years to make another title, and the franchise would be handled by developer Treyarch in the interim. This explains why CoD3 may have seemed quite a bit different from CoD2. It hasn’t been confirmed, but it seems that this deal may carry over into the next game as well. During that time though, Infinity Ward will also be doling out new downloadable content (maps, weapons, perks, etc.) for CoD4.
This sounds like a pretty good compromise to me, since it keeps both the publisher and the developers happy. I figure a great Call of Duty game every two years is better than a so-so one every year.

:o It should be something like what WWIII would be like, or as Aflux said, Iraqq/Afghanistan would be fun too.
Either way I'll proabbly end up getting it.

I've always thought a WWI game would be interesting. You know, in the trenches, with much of the game depending on tactics.
But COD5 better not be WWII. I'm very sick and tired of it now.
COD4 didn't really have a setting, it was just present day, so why wouldnt COD5 be too?
