Who is making a forum? I've seen lots of people say that there making one, and I'm making one myself for personal use, but I just want to know actualy how many people are? And by the end of it all we can look back and see who actualy finished them and who just said they would make them like lots of people did when DJ Panels were the crazz.

I'd recommend Copyright ;] but still 10% encrypted for Safety Reasons,
As you see many people taking other peoples work and nulling etc

www.theurban.co.uk I made one a while back and the registrations are good but the quality of posts is awful, there is none that is the problem.
Register pls. No skin because I like to keep discussion boards simple.

I started one but I was taking too long really as I was trying to do loads of complicated and innovative stuff without actually producing any results.

lol, im making one, but not as a stand alone forum.
Im developing it into a feature for usersystem as i see no point in making another forum when myBB and phpBB are already out and secure.

Simple forums are quite easy to make to be honest, it gets hard when you incorporate VIP, AJAX Extras, Custom WYSIWYG editor (not TinyMCE or whatever).

Yeah I agree there, I've already made a forum in the past but my new one should include more features.

Happens with everything. Someone comes up with an idea (Say Tom) then a few week(s) later someone else will start making one (like you or someone) and then LOADS of people will say they are developing one :P

Actually i had been doing this before but from current events i had to put it on hold ;], You might been first to post abhout it ;]
Also i just added Admin Panel and started work on VIP
Meh, in my opinion, unless your developing a custom script for your site or working with a bunch of people, making a forum is pointless. There are many free solutions out there that are fantastic, as well as several paid packages that are amazing. It's not really an industry one can compete in by themselves.
