My Guide to Starting at eBay UK
1) Bank account
If you already have a bank account, move on to step 2.
If not, get one.
Walk into somewhere like HSBC and ask to open up a My Money and My Savings account. You'll need proof of ID so bring a password, and a minimum of a £1. Your also need to ask for Internet Banking (which is free to use)
2) PayPal
If you already have a PayPal account, move onto step 3.
Go to www.paypal.co.uk (http://www.paypal.co.uk) and click on Join. Enter all the details it asks for (but for your date of birth make sure its over 18). Click on add a bank account, they enter the details it asks for. This is for withdrawing money to add to your PayPal balance, and putting money from your PayPal into your bank.
3) eBay
Go to www.ebay.co.uk (http://www.ebay.co.uk) and register for an account. Make sure the details you enter are the same as your eBay ones (as they might check details against each accounts to check if they match).
4) Start listing items!
Click on 'sell' then fill out what it asks for. The buyer would send the money to your PayPal account, which takes seconds. When thats done, send the item off. I thought it would be like really complicated, but honestly its not!
... Tips ...
As you have to be over 18 to get a PayPal account, withdraw high amounts of money when its in there encase they freeze your account. When ever I get over £50 in there I withdraw it. It costs 25p for £50 or under, other then that its free and takes about 5 days in total to do.
If you do get caught, theres nothing they can do anyway except close your account. I've had mine for over a year, havnt been caught and wont be.
If you have any questions just PM me :)

i'll buy cheap things from town and then sell them for a little more. Making sure i make a profit and cover the paypal cost.

A tip for postage, charge like 50p - £1 more then the item would actually cost to send.
If your PayPal accounts get froze, your only loose the money in it. Hence why I always withdraw when I hit £50.

Ok, i'll probably withdraw at like 25 at first,, until i'm sure i won't get frozen
What's the reason for extra postage charge?
And what kind of things will sell good.

To be perfectly honest I would recommend just getting a job, the amount you pay for ikea furni and the amount you sell it for I doubt will differ vastly, I work in two bars at the minute parttime since im at uni and its fantastic money, Im making enough to pay my car rent and food and have enough left for the weekends.

Are you 18 or over? Im doing barwork you see and it suits my classes fine, I work 4 evenings a week (have student night which is tonight off) and i work on sunday mornings for 3 hours and have saturday night off which suits me because thursday and saturday are the best nights to go out?
Maybe something like working in a shop or something?

I'm only 16, i'm planning on trying to get one with/ near my friend because we are both intersted yet niether want to go around asking, so if ywe go together we figured it would be easy.
He's only 15 though.
I'd be able to work some saturday afternoons, but would like to socialise on saturdays, most sundays although i'd have schoolwork and weekdays from around 5 onwards, meaning i skip tea.

What about part time in a call centre during the evenings? I hear they are good money and you only need to be 16 and over bad luck for your friend though. Perhaps local supermarkets or shopping centres?
