Ok as you can see from the announcments 3 members of the habbox staff have been fired because they were hacked on msn.

Do you agree with this ?
I can tell you that not many members of staff are happy ;)
What do you think either pm me or post below :D

Scotty !

If them being hacked on msn, meant people had access to their forum accounts and what not, then yeah because the hacker can get access to the staff forums and what not. Other then that, I don't think so, no.

No.
Msn has nothing to do with Habbox Forum.
It's not like the person was like "HEY!! HERES MY PASSWORD!!!" Stuff happens.

Well all passwords were diffrent for me !
So there was no way of accessing anything to do with any habbox jobs ;)

How did they find out you'd been hacked?

Want to do it publicly then? great

You gave out your security questions answer and then your account was used to obtain other information from other staff and then at least one person lost their messenger account through you and their own fault.

Your msn account email was your forum account email so they could get a new pass sent.

You changed your forum email hours after as you had not thought about that until i asked somebody to ask you.

Doing things by pm and in private would help but causing a big scene in public is never the best way to go about getting your job/s back.

Dinasaw, i think you should be more careful in the future, like Jrh said, keep it quiet also, because now look what you;'ve casused.

Yes, I think it's a perfectly legit reason to fire you.

You made yourself a hazard to the company, thus you should take the consequences.

You ask this over a job on the internet which you don't get paid for, I'd hate to be your manager in the future if you do stuff like this.

It's a staff members own responsibility to keep their account safe and secure. It's in the staff rules that you should have read.
You being hacked is a threat towards unwated access to parts of Habbox and was up to you to uphold security to your account.

You want your jobs back so surely you would know going publically is obviously not the way to go. You were a safety hazard to habbox at the end of the day and they have a valid reason to dismiss you. I don't know how you got hacked, so I don't know if it could of been prevented had you been more careful. Although i'm hardly the one to talk.

James i am still waiting for reply to your Pm which i sent you. This was just a thread to see what people think about this. And if someone asks you where you are from never mind sum1 that is supposed to be working with you in the same team then yes you would tell them. And to what you said in the room your answer to the security question should be random. The security question is ther for if you forget your password. If you have forgot your password what is the chance that you would remember a random answer you put to the security question. As i also said we are waiting for the person who decided to hack us. We got there ip address and are currently waiting for forum admin to see if this person is a member on the forum. So yea if you would like to do it in the public eye then that is fine by me. As i also said in the pm that i have the backing of a lot of staff that this should not have been taken as far as firing the staff but to give them a warning.

Approach what? He's asking what people think.
Everyone keeps replying saying that if he wanted his job back not to make a thread/big deal about it.. he's asking a question :S

The approach of getting a job back. Maybe the wrong word was used, maybe I should have said "This isnt the way to react". Privacy and via PM would have been much more subtle and given him the slightest bit of hope.

Which brings me back to my other post.. I fail to see in this thread where he says he wants his job back?

I think its a pretty obvious implication. Why would he make a thread if he thought he was fairly fired?

Well, my personal opinion on this is no, I don't think staff should be fired just because they get 'hacked' on MSN or anywhere for that matter unless it's continuous. To be fair, the user should have all of his access blocked on the site as they are compromised and before giving access back they should be 100% verified that they are the rightful owner of the accounts and confirm they are secure. However, I do understand why they would fire you, I just don't agree with the idea, but I agree it could have been taken up in private.

Now just to make clear of a few things about me that some users didn't appreciate the last time I disagreed with an idea - I'm just sharing my opinion and my ideas. The way Habbox runs their site is up to them and I do respect that. I'm not going against any member of management (in this case who sacked you), that isn't the point I'm making. So before you critisise, put words in my mouth, attempt to change my opinion or go against me because of what I've said, please make sure you understand what I'm saying.

Just because he thinks he was unfairly fired, doesn't mean he wants the job back.

He made this thread asking a question.

I think that he wasn't able to keep his pc and details safe and therefore put the site at risk, actions have to be taken.

I know. You're not the only one who has said it though. If opinions are really allowed to be voiced, then some people should let him think he was banned unfairly and not complain about this thread.

Indeed, and I have not once said you or anyone else shouldnt voice a different opinion, whilst voicing my own opinion, that, as you have even said yourself, other people share. :)!

Edit: There is too many commas in that sentence :(!

I'm not going to bother going into debate on this because there really isn't a debate on this, unless you spin the facts a certain way and omit certain things. However I will say this.

First of all, its a great way to make your case by publically creating a scene.

Second of all, it doesn't matter what everyone thinks, as dictatorial as that may sound. Firings are not done by consensus ;) However in this case we did have the consensus of General Management.

If you voluntarily give away information and don't even make attempts to secure accounts until you are reminded, you become a security threat to Habbox.

You havent shown much sympahthy in your posts.
When I was hacked due to Habbo's fault and me being silly used the same pass for Habbo and Habbox, I did not go and make silly threads like this. It just ****** off managment as your are attention seeking.
From what I have heard you kind of brought this upon yourself. You myswell of gave them your password.

Earthquake2. I feel sorry for this kid actully, give him another chance to prove himself.

I feel sorry for you, just because of who you are and how annoying you are.

I apologise if i don't make much sense as had a drink, but from what I have read you don't seem to concered about it all. but I don't apologise for the comment to earthquake as he is annoying if it is who i think it is.

tbh i think this fair for now until youve cleaned your pc and all that otherwise it will cause poeple going onto your habbox account no matter what if your password is different they will find a way on getting on all your accounts and doing whatever :)
