Well i'm having a little trouble with my girlfriend.

Last night whilst we were talking and having a laugh at my mates house she called me by her ex boyfriends name.
We had a little laugh about it, but now it's getting to me.
I went to see her today but she just ignored me.
And now I feel like crap :(

Maybe she still has feelings for him. I suggest you meet up with her & sit her down & talk to her & tell her how you feel. You shouldn't let something like that disturb your relationship. Speak up about it.

Just because she got you two mixed up doesn't mean she has feelings for him, in my opinion that is really crap advice.

I think you're overreacting, people get names confused as a spur of the moment thing all the time, seriously - don't take it to heart.

&Maybe there is a completely different reason she ignored you, she might be upset about something, now that is something I think you can go and talk to her about.

Yeah my mum calls me Matt (my brother's name) all the time and vice versa, doesn't mean she wishes we were each other :S just punch her in the face and get on with it

She might not have feelings, just it might have slipped her mind and she didn't think.

I often call my closest friends, other friends names then i go through the whole list very quickly,

i.e his nick name is plank,
so once i've said

sam
stu,
liam,
kyle,
before i got to plank.

Its quite funny and often they think nothing of it, he doesnt turn and hate me because i missed his name,

The part of the brain which fits faces with names is smaller and bigger in every single brain, and sometimes even more powerfull/weaker.

If it bothers you that much, talk to her about it and ask her feelings for him, don't get angry, she can't help her feelings..

Well maybe she wanted to be left alone, give her time and space, and then show her you care.

blah blah blah

Dont let it get to you. As IF she likes her ex. Let it go because if you sit her down to talk to her about it even when you too laughed about it afterwards, (which implies that it dosent bother ither of you) makes you like you overreact to stupid incidences & that would cause the problems in a relashionship. ;)

rofl flyingjesus, EXACT same problem for me, my mom gets me and my brothers name mixed ALL the time, it sometimes ****** me off.

on topic: what every1 said, talk to her, maybe you guys were having a moment where that might've happened before with her ex, and it reminded her of him. dont worry much.
