Above Or Beside?

On forums where do you like the users infomation to be displayed, on the left of the post or above the post?

(on my forum I've already placed it above but I'm thinking about moving it but I don't know if I should bother)

I prefer the vertical layout. It depends on taste, I suppose you could have an option allowing the person to change the layout type.

Vertical, definitely. I hate the horizontal view.
