hehe, see what i did with the title.
im planning on buying one soon, the advert for mario vs sonic has just persuaded me. but i have a couple of questions about the wii's internet.

1) does it let you go on anything internet, like wikipedia, hxf/whatever?
2) does it cost anything?
3) is there a good amount of internet enabled games for it?

thanks, +reps for answers

1) I can get on most things, i've been on Hxf and google with it.

2) It doesn't cost you anything to go online but you need to buy the browser from the wii shop, i think it costs 500 points.

3) I think the only game with wi-fi is Mario Strikers, i'm not sure about the newer mario games though.

Also, Official Nintendo Magazine made a point of it being Mario AND Sonic, and not Mario vs Sonic. I can't remember why, but I'll think of it and post x]

You can get the points by paying with credit card OR buying in shop then inputting the code. 1000points = £7.00 i think.

Yep, online play is done through CD/game.
You obtain them by buying them, either through a Wii Points card or on the Shopping Channel where you download the Internet Channel :)

A huge wave of online games is coming now as nintendos full wifi service has only just begun. Expect most games coming out in the next few months to be online.

It was free when it was in BETA stages and remained free when updated, but if didn't try out the free, BETA version or download the full version before 27th July (I think) then you had to pay for it.

Have you given it the new routers name which you gave it when you set up the router? I had a problem with mine when I had a BT Voyager, but the Wii stopped working because I forgot to change the name to Belkin N1 etc when we got a new router.
