How are you possibly sure that it's them. - it might not be.
Plus, you only made this thread because you want to expose yourself.

28-11-2007, 09:22 AM
Yeah, i've saw like 3 people with it,
and it doesn't matter Corey, if they have a picture of themselves it's not allowed, if it's another person that they don't have permission to put up [discluding celebrities] then it's still rule-breaking.

Out of curiosity, why aren't you allowed to post harmless photos of yourself? Like from a webcam or so on? If you are worried about paedophiles... Are they really that desperate to hunt down a member, who many hundreds of miles away, when they can find a victim within a mile from where they are?

I've never understood that rule "/

Habbox really must re-write their rules... If you break a rule, you can re-inforce why you broke it with another in most cases and effectively go free unless whoever it is who told you off does one mindless ramble which makes less sense than the rules to make you seem like you are in trouble.

Something I've noticed ever since Mizki and the like left, I mean, got fired.

I guess you you can't post pictures of yourself, even if you are 18 and over, because it is in the rules. Maybe Habbox should allow over 18s to post their picture, if you really need to that is "/ But then again, they can't really know you are 18...

Yeah that is still against the rules. ANY member who posts their picture will have it removed and will be warned / infracted. You might think this rule is stupid but at the moment it still stands :p.

Even though every fibre of its existence is pointless and stupid? If the member clearly looks like an 8 year, then you could remove it but harmless, small, avatar photos should be allowed. You don't notice much and it is safe but for some non-existent reason it is classed as un-safe.

I was not commenting on the rule itself. It stands and Moderators are going to enforce it until it is changed, that's all I was saying :P

I suppose they will, otherwise their jobs would be on the line :P What the Management need to do is attack the rules and edit them, add some and remove some just so they are so contradictory or, well, barmy :P

Most of the rules were written with Habbo in mind and to stick with their rules etc. Habbox is trying to become official again and allowing people to post their pictures would really count against us.

Only one Habbox site can be official as habbo said maybe HxF rules wont count against it?

Regarding the link to a pic rule :O I dont think that should be allowed (Just my personal opinion) but it is allowed so cant see why you cant show the pic on the forum :S Look at the TV Links guy he only had links on his site and look what happened haha so its no different having a link or posting the pic.

o was this thread about my av? lol

yeah i don't get how u can post a picture of you linked, it doesn't really make a difference because if it's for our own protections then it kinda cancels it out.

although if it's for official status or w.e then i guess not much we can do lol

I completely agree. There is hardly organisation anymore and most things are rushed. Members need to be more involved, at the moment they're not. Besides, it's hardly a Habbo forum now "/

I doubt the council would work, there is very little 'Habbo' in Habbox anymore. The radio is more, well, just a radio, the forum is more real life than Habbo and the only Habbo thing is the Habbox website.

to be honest habbox rules are it's own downfall.
moderators and admins are overly harsh and set out to find anything vaguely close to rule breaking, there is a lack of organisation in the forum generally. perhaps habbox should open their eyes, stop trying to be official and let us do what we want for a change.

There are probably more habbo users than not but there is alot of users who quit habbo and even some who have never even played.

The answer is No , no one is allowed their pictures posted anywhere but you're allowed links to external pics.

Reading the rules is like reading a Philosophy Synopsis... Boring, OTT and a hole filler. Most of the rules can be bunged into one rule and loads of them can be scrapped.

I miss Mizki, MissAlice and the originals :(

Can you expand on that?

Which is why it's not a Habbo forum, there are loads of non-Habbo members currently while a Habbo forum should have a very minimal amount. It's a General Discussions forum, with 2 Habbo Catagories.

I was referring to your statement that the members should be involved more even if it isn't so Habbo orientated. However there is a pretty big Habbo following still. There was over 50 on that section the other night when there was supposed hackers on Habbo.

I find councils useless and really just discussion rooms for general Habbo chat. Habbox could make a Council on the forum though, where people can discuss events, competitions and build up the Habbo fans with a big following. At the moment, the only thing useful about Habbox are the trade values. Competitions and events aren't spoken of, but you do hear loads of things about ClubHabbos events and the like.

No offence taken :)

I think that strict rules are needed or else the place gets ruined for the people who do follow them. I do agree they are a little complicated but if you behave with common sense you dont really need to read the rules and wont get in trouble.

But you can get in trouble for rules which don't exist or make no sense. Obviously strict rules should be in place, like the obvious swearing, but half of those rules are, really, the same as another rule when they can be combined. Some don't even make sense, like the foreign languages rule which apparently means everyone who doesn't work for Habbox is fluent in every language...

If I got in trouble for non existent rules I would complain about it and argue my cause until it was dealt with. If you make a list of rules you see that dont make sense or could be combined maybe post in feedback so they can be discussed? I like to give my honest opinion about anything and if that goes against what management think then so be it :O I would never agree with something just because thats what all the other staff agreed with if I never thought it was right.

Edit: thread was closed while i was replying in between phone calls - sorry :)
