The reason some people can and cant get on is because Virgin media i crap and very slow at doing things. So everyone on Virgin media could be off for a while. I know its being posted about it being down but i could not find it about virgin. Sorry if old.

I think people may infact find that richard branson brought out NTL & (Tellywest i think ntl brought out just before) hence its "Virgin" Virgin being owned by Sir Richard Branson...

and also im with Virgin media have been since ntl first started and its possibly the best broadband i have ever had it has been down once! in 8 years
and that was due to some chavs setting fire to the box at the top of the street.
Also habbo doesent load for me either maybe virgin are having problems with one of their dns servers that associates with the country that habbo's webserver is located...

NTL was originally TV, phone & broadband.

Virgin then bought these, and called themselves Virgin Media, and decided that their Virgin Mobile fitted into it, so added it to the "Virgin Media" brand.

The problem in question has been happening since about 2 o clock this afternoon. It was fine this morning.

Wont work, Virgin are always down. Their services are extremely bad, last week they cut me off for 6hours.. no on demand or internet.

Virgin should have never taken over NTL, should have just started their own ISP.

I disagree. If you had a choice between two chocolate bars that tasted exactly the same but one was expensive and came from the UK and one was cheap and came from germany what would you choose?
It's called globalisation. The clothes you wear are most likely made in sweatshops in China so they can be made for a fraction of the cost while the worker get paid a fraction of what they would here. I don't see you complaining about those big companies being 'too cheap to get things from the UK'.

It's hard when your posts are five times the size of everyone elses. That doesn't work.. no reason it should either as the modem isn't part of your PC

If that was the case, clearing your cache would work.. or simply hard-reseting the modem (Pulling the plug for 30 seconds and plugging it back in)
