Celtic's John Kennedy will undergo a knee examination on Friday to confirm the extent of his latest injury.
The club say a scan suggests the damage is not as bad as first feared and the defender may only be required to miss three months of action.

Kennedy made his first-team return in April after three years on the sidelines with a knee injury.

He was badly hurt following a challenge by Romania's Ioan Ganea on his Scotland debut in March 2004.

The 24-year-old had to be replaced just before half-time during Wednesday's Champions League win over Shakthar Donetsk, leaving the pitch on a stretcher after an awkward fall.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Artur Boruc could require knee surgery sooner than the club had hoped.

However, the Polish international anticipates being able to play in the final Champions League Group D match against AC Milan on 4 December.

It was hoped that Boruc could put off surgery until next summer, but the 27-year-old told the Evening Times: "Everything is sore. I need surgery on my knee. I have to have an arthroscopy on it.
"
I was going to wait until the end of the season, but now I don't think I am going to wait that long.
"It's not really good just now. But, hopefully, I will be fit for Saturday's game against Hearts and for the match in Milan."

Unlucky boruc hope u get better soon we will miss u!
