200+ plus? I'm impressed... The only reason they get 200+ is because of people reading the Rare Values and reading news. About 10-15 people actually turn up to those "COME TO DIS HABBO REWM FOR A PARTEH AND COMP IN DA ROOM KTHNX" because only around that are listening...

Plus, the DJ's are unprofessional and really should get out. That's coming from an Ex-DJ.

"Ex". You must of liked them else why apply? They obviously aren't dead else the number of people who listen to them wouldn't be that great and the number of applications to become DJs wouldn't be so high.

I'll have you know that most DJs don't talk how you said, "COME TO DIS HABBO REWM." Maybe you do but definitely not the majority of HxL DJs.
If people stop their radio on Habbox, they aren't counted within the stats and so even if some were checking values with their radio on, I can promise you that there aren't 150+ checking at the same time :)

Habbo is a place to have fun and so if HxL's DJs acted as if they were on Radio 1, the whole community would find the DJs extremely boring. In the ways we can, everything is laid out and said professionally and the DJing remains professional but fun.

I'm sure our listeners could back us up here and I hope you don't take offence to any of what has been mentioned :)

Anywho, back on topic - the show is likely to be wicked and I know I'll be tuned in.

*blink* I'll reword that, most DJ's are unprofessional with the exception of some, as there were a few professional ones however they've left the "Habbo Radio Industry". I'll be safer with some DJ's have bad grammar though :P

Jeez, do all radio DJ's take stuff this serious? I never did. I DJ'd back in 2005 when Habbo Radios were still in their golden age, however through '06 and '07 there has been a dramatic decrease. '08 will probably continue the trend. Most DJs now feel that having SAM4 and some Jingles, along with songs they've downloaded from iTunes/Limewire makes them amazing professional people. Sure I'll understand some may be interesting and eccentric (I did mention in the above reply that some DJs are good) however there are alot which I truly do despair. I didn't mean the DJs said "COME TO MA REWM" literally, but anyone with a slight sense of exaggeration would've caught my drift.

Dont underestimate the popularity of Habbox's Rare Values by the way. That would be something of a foolish judgement. I never did say they should act like Radio 1 DJs however when I heard someone stumbled upon a method for 'Double-DJing' which didn't include Skype, my MSN (which is compromised of quite a few DJs) went offline and online quite a few times. :) I don't take offense to what your saying as you only appreciate the DJs that you hire, being the Head DJ... However when you bring out such words as " I'll have you know that most DJs don't talk how you said, "COME TO DIS HABBO REWM. Maybe you do but definitely not the majority of HxL DJs", That sort of annoys me...

I feel great that I estimated that... You don't need to know everything about an 'culture' to understand and observe it. were as the on clubhabbo n hffm n hhfm are based on a RADIO Not a rare values system.. ;/

Well, the DJs can be loud but I can't!? I find that somewhat... Mean? How can I enjoy a child talking whose voice hasn't broken? Some sound like a faulty carhorn! It's not like I'm hurting you, am I? Just take someones opinions and what he feels are facts, into heart. Don't tell someone to shut up, it's called ignorance. No-one likes an ignorant person.

Well they cram everything onto their main site like guides etc, Habboxlive is still part of Habbox so it deserves to be on the homepage, Habbox didn't have to make a separate site for the radio but they did.

Probably due to sercurity reasons , so the manager can edit all the information about the radio without causing a risk to the actual site.
Also I think it's to make the main site look more tidy.

Anyway lets get back on topic or this thread shall be closed.

I might tune in but I'll probably forget about it :(

What do you mean? The radio is in an iframe which is essentially a seperate website. Along with that, the radio can be managed in SHOUTcast Admin Panel which is accessed by IP & Port. It's not brain science, there isn't any security reasons as to why the Manager did that.

,Jess,
07-12-2007, 08:33 PM
I observe it on Habbo and you hear about them less and less and less. I go on sites like Clubhabbo.net & their listeners aren't what they used to be are they? Doesn't that just... Say something?

Other sites like HFFM have got more popular though. Just because 1 site gets less popular doesn't speak for everything else. To me it shows that Clubhabbo radio now has bad management.

Your so overconfident

Its only the radio on Habbox that gets HxL popular, somehow you've convinced yourself otherwise.

No. Of course it was Habbox.com that got it popular but like I've said to people a million times before, that is what it's for, so more people know about it. The actual listener base has increased dramatically.

Agreed....
Hxl should of never got onto habbox.. seriously you believe you have 200 listeners + LIKE W/E Srsly though habbox is based on rare values and has been ever since it opened... No the radio shouldn't have been put on it's own site. That is well mad. I mean who would put their radio on their own site? LOL!!11

Habbox has a highly reputable rare values system, which is fantastic. They also have articles, news etc etc. Habbox has a lot to it, not just what it's well known for and why not use some of the popularity it's built up to help out other parts?

I mostly stop the radio when checking the values lol :P.

As I have said before, I will be tuning in.

Exactly people have the choice to stop the radio :).
So all 200 could do that. Obviously they don't because the radio is bearable.

That is proably why. Seriously you should see some of the things I've done to HxL.com :P

Habbo Radio's arent really dead...

Habbox Live is a bit of both, partly because of radio being on Habbox, but at same time, Radio is online alot and is well organised

HabboFunFM has 60+ average atm which is cool

ClubHabbo are doing a lil better than HFFM so that radio site doing well

HabboHotelFM is the lowest out of these 4, but the community is strong there becuase there aren't as many people, which is nice, very homey feel to the site...

So yeh :)

200+ plus? I'm impressed... The only reason they get 200+ is because of people reading the Rare Values and reading news. About 10-15 people actually turn up to those "COME TO DIS HABBO REWM FOR A PARTEH AND COMP IN DA ROOM KTHNX" because only around that are listening...

So Habbox's strong point is Rare Values while other sites' is radios. As long as a site is popular, I don't see why you should care for the reasons behind it. At least it's safe to say, despite how many people knock it (but obviosuly still use it), that Habbox still has the best Rare Values department in the whole fansite community. However, I doubt you could put your finger on the top Habbo Radio as there are a few very good ones.

As for professionalism of DJs: I do agree that at times some DJs can sound rather unprofessional. But why would a professional DJ waste time working on a fansite of a kid's website - especially without any real payment?

The show on the 10th is only 1 hour with redtiz ^_^ doubt prizes will be given out :)

Exactly! I agree about the badges too. I don't really care whether I do or don't get badges any more. I'll only botehr trying if I know that there's only going to be 1 or 2 handed out.

Btw, what's this Christmas Badge? I hope it's not like the Christmas 2006 one  (which I'm happy to say I don't have =])

As for the topic, my three latest radios that I've been listening to are on the line-up. I'll tune in if I get the chance but 4pm is a little early on a school day.

A bit more information for you!

During the show myself and Redtiz will run a short quest for you to win yourself a throne and then have the chance to gamble for a Red Birdbath.

The quest will mean you need to ask the Public room bots questions and find out what the Habbo Staff like about Christmas, don't ask me what to ask them yet... because even i don't know! (not that i would tell you *grin*)

We have also created the ChristmasLive show rooms so if you search ChristmasLive on Habbo UK you can get to the entrance and nothing more for now! mwahaha

Make sure your tuned in from 4pm Monday 10th December 2007!
www.habboxlive.com & www.hffm.co.uk and some of your official fansites!
