Contact Lenses

Yeah well my mum has finally gave in for me to get contact lenses.
My eye sight is bad and I refuse to wear glasses.
My appointment is on thursday at 3.25
Has anyone had them?
And what do they do in the fitting?

yh i've got em and they're great. at the appointment they just tell you how to put them in and that i think. that's what they done at mine anywayz.

Yeah, They are greatt. I got mine about a year ago now. In the fitting all they do is tell you which contact lense will be best for you and basically tell you how to put them in.

They are the best invention since sliced bread!:P:8

Lol, its ok if you get nice glasses, like if your under 1 then you can get discount on NHS.
But contact lenses do boost your confidance.. And in my first appointment, they looked at my eye and then the optician put one in my eye for me to show me whats its like, And then he takes it out for you.

Then on the second and you still want them, You go there and you have to put them in and out a few times before you can take them home.

Whats your eyesight actually like? + or -?

Mines -3.25 i think.

I wear them most of the time, soooo much better than glasses.
When I went to the opticians to get them, the optician but a weird orange dye in my eyes, not sure why, then put them in for me to see how they felt, and she took them back out for me again. Then I just had to put them in and take them out a few times by myself to show that I could do it.

The appointment will just be like a basic eye check but they will just see the type of contact that your eye suits so they can get them for you. For me, they just showed me how to put in / take out and let you practice a few times then you go away with contacts in for a couple of hours to see how you go!

By the way, having contacts can be a bit tricky for the first week or so as you won't be used to it lol. It kinda feels like you have an eyelash in your eye for a bit but once you just keep wearing you get really used to them and I don't notice them at all anymore!

Mine used to pop out too, gets really annoying.

LOL ive never had that, ive had them itch and ive had to take them out but theyve never fell out lol.. Ive rubbed my eyes and theyve been rubbed out.

Just get some really expensive, fit, designer glasses. I think they look good :]

Yepp so I went and they put this orange stuff in my eyes >;[
But my eyes lit up blue in the light he shined
Then he talked me through the contacts
And he has to order them in so he took measurements and my contacts should be in next week for me to try on :P

i wear contact lenses and I have for 4 years. The only problem I have ever had was having conjuncta vitus. But that was onyl because the copany started makign the lesnes differently so I changed to a different brand. And they have never popped out on me.

At first they were hard to get in but after a day of practice I was pro :P
