I am trying not to complain but this infraction rule is so stupid tbh. I posted earlier and then 10 minutes later i couldn't edit my post and i get done for double posting.

Sorry bit this forum has so many stupid rules it's unbelieverable.

You're able to edit any post within 15 minutes. Infractions, or warnings will be issued for posts within this limit, as its been tested that in (most) Forums this works correctly.

This rule is inplace to avoid spammers.

Wrong. It wouldn't let me edit my post after 10 minutes.

If you want this infraction to be reviewed, please post it in the appropriate thread, as highlighted in my signature. :)

You could of just said you were adding more to your post which they should allow, rather than just let people double post to add info to their thread.

Sam, if this is the case, we'll make sure that the forum gets tested and if we find that the editing time is below 15 minutes where you couldn't edit. I'll make sure the warning I gave you is reversed. :)

But do post in the infraction problems thread that Elkaa pointed out (or the link in my signature as well) so it can be properly looked into.

I think he's mistaken and he waited 15 mins not 10

Nah, we don't ban people straight up for breaking the multiple posting rule. If he reports his warning and we find out that he could have edited his post, he just won't get it reversed. :P

It was confirmed earlier that people were able to edit their posts in the forums you mentioned. I don't think the 15 minute timer is different in any other part of the forum as they are all under the same global setting. We have never had any complaints about this before and the "15 minute rule" has been going for sometime. I think the best would be to try again and let us know if your still having difficulties :).

perhaps you were not certain of time

I believe the editing rule was brought in to stop moderator edits being removed and also so that people don't keep changing their post later on. I believe you can double post if you are adding information on, don't quote me on that though as I'm not sure.

yeh it is allowed if you are adding info

You are very well right, but only when the 15 minutes is up, otherwise it's not allowed. ;)

Let's have a look at what the rule says:

C4. Multiple Posting - Multiple posting is allowed after the 15 minutes edit time has passed only if you are adding new information. Otherwise it is not allowed to double/multiple post.

I'm sure that used to say adding new information to the thread, like the threadmaker has to add the new information, and only them :S

Well, as far as I've known the rule, it's been the same as it is now. :)

Honestly, you just wait 5 more minutes? Its not that big a deal.

And yes Gomme you're right, the rule is that the second post has to be adding information, otherwise it is classified as a bump.

I wouldnt think its that difficult: if you think the forum has stupid rules go to a forum that has more lenient rules. Thats like sitting the desert with 5 layers on and complaining youre hot. The double post rule is there for a reason, as is the edit limit.
