Hey
I have a PC next to me that noone uses, so i want to know if you can do this:
Have a linux server OS like Ubuntu with apache, php, html and mysql
Then put my php scripts on it and use that to test it? Would this work?

yup, quite easy to do as well there are a number of linux apps that'll even set up the server, sql php etc etc for you. Useful for haveing a home testing server. Just network the comp up to your lan, and u have a local webserver ready to use
