View Full Version : How's my webbing doing?

I got my webbing (the nice flappy bit under your tongue) pierced around May time. I've got a bar in at the moment, though after tonight I'm going to replace it with a ring as soon as possible.

Bars're difficult to clean for one, food got stuck to it without me even knowing and after a while it looked terrible if I ever showed it to anyone. So I tried to get rid of the crap earlier. Due to the area being so soft and versatile, it was very difficult to get at the bar unless i awkwardly used both hands inside my mouth to hold it steady. Then I realised that I'd managed to pull it out.

All cleaned and that, I managed to put it back through - though now it won't centre itself - it feels loose and I fear that it might fall out before I find something bigger to fill the hole.

Now the advice part;

Has anyone ever experienced this or know what I should do? I'm considering taking it out and leaving it for a while but I'll only end up re-piercing it anyway. So - what should I do?

PS, as with most other thread starters, I don't appreciate posts that aren't helpful - please refrain from posting if you've nothing useful to say.

thats a rank piercing

id take it out and just leave it out or get it done again, you dont really wanna risk damaging anything inside your mouth

It's okay, it didn't last the night anyway. Fell out as soon as I lay on my side.. I miss it though, it was comfortable in my mouth :(. I'll get it re-done in the new year after I get my tongue done.

Ouch I can't imagine getting that pierced!
I wouldn't like it lol. It sounds painful.

When I got my cartilage (top of ear) done, that was bad enough lol. I still cant ly on it without pain
