View Full Version : Habbox and/or the forum: Snowing

I've seen some forums and website that have added the snow script to their website,
http://www.schillmania.com/projects/snowstorm/
I thought it might be an interesting idea for Habbox to try this out.

It's crap, and makes the forum slow and also its annoying.

It was on thehabboforum and it was constantly annoying.

I don't see the homepage being an annoyance.. the forum would be though.

The snow effect is just an annoyance really and most of the time they look tacky on a Habbo forum/website.

EDIT: Although, that script looks quite good. It's just a shame the snow sits at the bottom which isn't good for scrolling sites.

yeah that particular one looks pretty good,as harry said it would look good on the homepage but not the forum

We had it on HHGS had majot lag :[
But people liked it for 5 mins :)
That one looks ok but its not realy worth it

If the Habbox site was small and didn't need you to scroll down to read information, that snow script would work, but because it's a site that you really need to scroll on, it would be messy.

I think it looks good sometimes, but I don't really think it would look good on the forum.

It would be good to have on Christmas eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. It might get annoying if it was put on now and kept until after Christmas. But I do like the effect and hope it does go ahead.

I like the idea of this on the site over the days that Superstar has said but on the forum I don't like the idea.

It's incredibly impractical on the forum. I believe it was tried once (or maybe it was on another forum) but the lag was immense. And as one of the biggest forums, we would have x10 that lag. Which would suck. Mucho.

I agree.

Nice idea, but I'm not particularly for it. A christmas skin would be good enough.
