I had over 3400 & now all I have is 3227?

None of it was pointless, even if it looked it, they couldn't be bothered to post the reason. And why the hell should I get punished for other peoples mistakes?

I haven't even reported any rep in that thread, so why has it suddenly got removed?

It's not exactly a big deal "/ You lost 1 rep point, big deal, you lost over 100+ rep points, who cares? Also, you're story is flawed. There are only 8 or 10 rep comment spaces in the User CP, and I doubt you got repped by 10 people all with 10-20 rep points and I doubt you remembered all of them?

Also, rep points get lost when a thread is delete, don't they?

I've never had issues like this with my rep points for some reason...

They didn't remove it by deleting people who have repped me because I still have them in my USER CP but my points just got off?

Stupid excuse? I did say in the other thread that that sort of attitude will get you no where on this forum. Furthermore, I did not say 'if you -rep someone', -rep is still fine as long as its valid -rep and not pointless.
Anywho, MAD came up with the idea that as a result of issuing pointless reputation, the issuer should have their reputation checked through as well as a way of deterring users from issuing pointless reputation in the first place.
I did ask MAD whether I should inform users or whether there should be an announcement made about this but I was told to carry on with the new system and only raise the new restriction if users complained.

Ignore MAD and make an announcement, people need to know things "/ And stating what management have said will get people somewhere, because at least we now know that there is some barmy reason for people losing rep points when they've not asked for them to be removed.

Making announcements will at least make sure people know what's happening behind the scenes, not everyone cares about how successful an event was.

I have doubts about this if 10 people all -rep me and i go down to 90 points lets say all my +rep i earned were pointless that would leave me with 0 points. Because people on this forum create a rucus for one thing. Pointless rep is against the rules which is also why they remove it- I am saying that just because pointless +rep has also been removed (which is breaking the rules as it is still pointless) members go mad and at the end of the day it's just rep.

That is true but I think the main issue people are complaining about here is lack of communication. I agree with people that it was stupid not to pre-warn people as it causes more frustration in the long run, and it results in threads like these. Members need to know what is going on, it is their forum and if they are not they just get frustrated.

But if people bought the rep then when rep is removed, some of it could of been rep you bought. Habbox needs to change, staff, higher staff for that matter, are too distant from the users.

Also, yes, rep isn't really a big deal, but to some it is and to the forum it is considered a major thing to the forum, which is why it needs to be taken with some seriousness. If it wasn't such a big deal, HxF wouldn't allow people to buy it, have rules around it or have threads which allow you to have rep removed.

The reason I didn't feel an announcement was necessary is because pointless rep is already against the rules. We are only enforcing it more now which is why people seem to be shocked when they are loosing rep.

Many users seem to think all -rep is removed. This is not the case and has never been the case. Only pointless -rep is removed (such as ones that break other forum rules (ie swearing) or -rep without any comments). We did have a poll a while ago whether we should disable -rep completely or offer it to VIPs only, people voted against it.
