Fire at US Government building very close to White House

Flames and thick black smoke have been sighted at a US government building in Washington DC.
The Eisenhower Executive Office building is located near to the West Wing of the White House and houses members of the president's staff.

Emergency vehicles have arrived at the scene and firefighters have entered the building to tackle the blaze.

It is not clear what caused the fire, which has forced the evacuation of the entire building.

There have been no injuries, a White House spokesman said.

The fire appeared to be raging near Vice President **** Cheney's ceremonial office.

Mr Cheney himself was in his White House office, and has not been affected by the incident, his staff said.

The White House itself was not evacuated.

What do you want me to do? Put a building near the white house is on fire without any proof? :rolleyes:

Anyway, no injuries, and the vice presdient was in the White House at the time, not his office :)

It was a good attempt by the electronics to blow up the US Government, hopefully it'll learn from it's unsuccessful attempt and will have better luck next time. Maybe it'll contact it's cousins in the White House to do the same thing, all I can say is bad luck and bad timing, but I wish it all the luck in the future burning down the US Government and it's members.

I would laugh if the white house did burn down.
