On December 18, 2007, it was announced that an article in OK! Magazine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OK%21) to be released on December 19, 2007, that Jamie-Lynn is 12 weeks pregnant. She and her mother spoke to the magazine in an exclusive interview. The father is Casey Aldridge, whom she met through church, though Spears stated shortly before Thanksgiving that she had no steady boyfriend. Nickelodeon, the network which carries Spears' series Zoey 101, issued the following statement shortly after the announcement:
"We respect Jamie-Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being".

Did they forget to mention she's 16 and loaded? Age isn't an issue, it's resources. If you got the money you can have a baby at any age.

good point
true say that.

i think because all of britneys mistakes it will make zoe a better mum, imo anyway.

i think the issue is that she plays this sweet little girl in zoey 101 who seemingly is suppose to act as a role model for little girls

pfft

Awk it really isn't such a HUGE issue I don't think.

Yes - she's 16, but it happens all over the world every single day so it isn't as though it's something new we are talking about!

She may play an innocent role in a kids program, but if you honestly think that every kids actor or whatever is really so innocent in real life then your pretty naive. They are real people too - she is a real teenage girl - lots of teenage girls have intercourse and get pregnant.

Get over it I say.

of course how they are purported on TV is going to be different from how they are in real life. my point is that little girls watch the programme, and for them it isn't normal for a 16 year old to be pregnant. but knowing that their idol is pregnant? isn't that going to send them obscured messages of it being acceptable to get pregnant at such a young age. i'm sure some sort of parallels can be drawn with the increase of abortions, and girls having s'ex earlier.

luckily, in this case, she has a lot of money and a supportive mother to help her.

Well perhaps it will also bring to their attention the fact that there is a clear issue within today's society regarding teenage pregnancies, and therefore raise the opportunity for parents to identify to their children the seriousness of the issue and allow them to use their children's 'idol' as a fine example.

It works both ways.

Agreed. This doesn't make her a bad person at all. I hate the fact people say teenage mum's are disgusting/sleep-arounds. My cousin got pregnant at the age of 15, and she's not a *******, as the Dad is her long term boyfreind.

Her age also doesn't mean she'll be a bad mum, she may be better then a 26 year old mum for all we know :)

I agree. If someone wants a baby when they're 16 then let them get on with it. It's really nobody else's concern or business.

Seriously.. its her personal life.. why should you be bothered with it and not my cousin aunt edna's brothers wife who is having a baby?

Its her choice, and I don't see what the big deal is. To be honest, I don't know many on this forum who care..
