Well i thought i would make a guide to help people understand scammers slightly better, i know this r teh suck considering most Habbox members arent new.
Click the spoiler tag(s) to begin!
Section A - Habbo Scams
1 - Casino Scamming
This scam happens too much, even the most smartest habbos can fall for this scam.
People who you may/do trust may invite you to their casino or you may find it on the advertisement list.
Scammers will offer extremely great offers on you betting your furniture away, such as "Bet Club Sofa Win 4".
Some scammers hire people to say they are safe, however the person saying that is lieing and is achually in on the scammers evil plan!
Remember, if it sounds too good to be true... it most likely is.
I'd reccomend betting people who you deffinately know well or in Super Rare Casinos which are popular.
Don't bet what you cannot afford to lose!
2 - Quick Trading
There are certain habbos who you usually meet in trade rooms who will say things such as "Buying Throne" then trade you a Throne AND a club sofa or some other nice rare.
Then you will agree and they will close the trade, and as you add your furni they will quickly add something which looks like the rare but its not.
Eg: Habbo A Is trading: "Throne Chair"
Habbo B Is trading: "Plastic Pod Chair, Club Sofa"
These type of people are known as "Quick traders" and are very evil scammers as they do this lots and Habbo Staff cannot ban for this scam as they never can find any proof.
3 - Falling Furni, and other games.
Habbo Hotel stress about this problem alot, under the games floor there are alot of games where you can win amazing rares like Club Sofas, Gold Bars and Throne Chairs.
However, usually this isnt to be trusted so do not "Pay to stay" or "Rev" unless you have the furni to waste... expecially do not trust them if their room is tacky and poor unless you KNOW they are safe for certain.
4 - Furni Cloning.
This is a scam newbies fall for quite often, Habbos will claim they can clone your furniture when really there is no real way to clone furniture and they will just leave the room or kick you from theirs.
Never give your furni away for nothing to a so called "Furni Cloner".
5 - Major Trade Scams
This is a scam that some shop owners fall for or someone who has alot of normals.
The scammer will walk into the Habbo's room and say "Wow, nice normals" or something as such then say "I'll give you a Throne Chair for all of them and some other stuff".
They say things like this knowing your furniture will not fit in a single trade and they will often make an agreement like "The throne wont fit in the tradebox so ill give it you after a quater of the furniture", once they have taken your furniture they will most likely leave the room and disappear for good.
This scam is easy to avoid by just being more cautious.
6 - Hacker Wannabes
People claiming to be Hackers will say something such as "I am a hacker, i will hack you if you do not give me your furniture!111onez."
Do not fall for this, if you keep your details safe and don't download suspicious things there is no way they can hack you.

Section B - Hackers
1 - Sites, radios and stuff.
Often people will tell you to go to a site, sometimes it will be just to view it for them... othertimes they will claim you have won a competition or an organized event.
Never go onto sites you cannot trust, some will reload your habbo browser onto a fake one so you re-type your details... others will do various things which can take your account away, remember that Sulake will not return/refund lost furniture.
2 - "Free Credits"
Some scammers will claim to be staff or friends of staff and claim they can give you free credits, however they will say they require various details such as your email or your DOB or even your password.
Never give any of these details out, expecially your password... no staff will ever ask for details.
3 - Downloads
Some people will link you to downloads for things like Games, or Habbo hacking tools. (Which are against the habbo way)
However these Downloads will most likely contain Viruses which will steal your details extremely fast.
However, most hackers check their PC for their results at midnight as it is most easiest to take the account at that time so always scan your PC.
I would reccomend Norton Antivirus Software - Google it.
