Bloody hell..
I went to the local southern fried chicken place to get maself some food earlier this evening, and was heading to ma girlfriends with a can of pepsi in one hand and a bag full of food in another.
and two police dudes pulled up next to me, got out, and asked me if the pepsi was beer, so i said 'does it look like beer to you mate' and he was like 'it could have some beer inside', so he took it from me and smelt it and gave it back saying 'its fine, carry on'.
So i threw the can of pepsi at the police cars window because i didn't want it now he smelt it and ran for it, police never caught me.
Police will pull u for anything these days.

I can see why they stopped you, but it isa bit stupid that they stopped you to sniff the pepsi. Yes they should do it, but only if you're acting oddly. I wouldn't want someone sniffing my drink, it would put many people off.

That's sick, if he had a cold the snot may have gone on it and if it didn't the germs would have! Good shot with the can though. ;)

Considering under-age drinking in the UK is quite serious, I can see why they would ask to see if it was alcohol, but what you did afterwards is quite serious considering they were only doing their job, "good work" with not getting caught, but I hope you dont do something like that again, its rather stupid and anti-social and can get you into a hell of a lot of trouble

Exactly. You obv don't do that. And they can easily find you again, and you could be in trouble. Why are people so dumb nowadays?

And..?
it could of had beer in it.
We were out in the summer my mate had oasis and the police came over and poured it out as they thought it had vodka mixed in it.

Doubt it happened, but I can sympathise with you fully if it did.
Even if it was beer, your on your own and therefore your obviously either not doing anything anti-social or your a lousy yob.
When your older, you'll finally see someone slot below the police. Bouncers......
This is probably made up, but still...
You bring this kind of stuff on yourself. Rename this thread 'teenagers these days...'.

Why do you doubt that? Just because we come on HxF doesn't mean we're geeks, we're sad and we never go out like you.

Thats just ridiculous. once, i was sitting in a park eating and smoknig a cigi with my friend & 2 women police came up to us and search our bags thking we were caring illicit drugs. We let them because we had nothing to hide in our bags and it was fun to see a police in the wrong and making them feel guilty but they werent allowed to check our pockets. which was close because i was carrying some weed lol. :)

Police can search your pockets...
You can refuse though, but that would lead to you being arrested, thus searched anyway..

One day people will realise that everything the police do is for our protection... you were inconvenienced maybe five minutes by being stopped, which isn't anything really when you consider that some young people may have been carrying dangerous items or substances that need to be sorted. I'm by no means a perfectly law-abiding citizen, but I have no beef with the police, and in fact respect them greatly.
Adam!
26-12-2007, 11:49 PM
Police are alright.. They do seem to do some pointless things sometimes though.
I don't really appreciate being inconvenienced for no reason though, especially when they say "section 44 of the terrorism act, we dont need a reason for searching you" that really annoyed me..

As far as I'm aware nothing properly sealed can be searched without warrant, such as the glove compartment of a car (if locked) or a zipped up section of a wallet. However, they could just take you in and search you at the station so usually doesn't help you much. Best bet if you're carrying green and don't want to get caught is to just put it in your sock, under the arch of your foot. Not too comfy but they likely won't bother searching that hard.

It's also illegal for them to ask you to remove your trainers/shoes and/or socks in a public place.

Yeah... stabbings and rape are more likely when people are drunk, as many people are aggressive drunks. Your ignorance and ungratefulness makes me laugh.
