The Mancunian hardman known for playing such roles as Sean Tully in Coronation Street and Guy La Trousse in Having it Off is set to star in a new TV show about stamp collecting, currently dubbed as 'Stamping Out'.

Although it may sound a bit bland, the show is a clever drama revealing all the grime and grit beneath the seemingly innocent hobby of stamp collecting. It is said to include huge amounts of violence, crime, murder, gang rivalry and rape all between the dangerous stamp collecting gangs of Greater Manchester. Antonio Carmichael Cotton is recognized for never lending his name to a bad project and no doubt this won't be an exception.

There is also no doubt that his unique, fiery personality will put a lot more 'zing' into this exciting drama. Stamping Out is currently being filmed and set to air on BBC2 in mid 2008.
