Well I thought I'd write a simple guide on how to efficiently update your add-ons without all the hassle of searching the internet for each one.

1. Go to http://wuu.vagabonds.info/ and download WUU (WoW UI Updater)

2. Extract the contents into a folder.

3. Run the file WUU.exe in the folder you chose.

4. It will ask you for the directory that includes WoW.exe on a Windows PC this is usually C:\Program Files\World Of Warcraft

5. Once WUU opens, go to
Addon > Scan Directory (or CTRL+D),
this will scan the AddOns folder for all the addons.

6. You need to tell WUU where it goes to download each addon, so go to
Addon > Update From OnlineDB (or CTRL+M)

7. Finally, to update the Add-Ons that need to be updated, go to
Addon > One-Button Update (or F10)

Once it has done updating, you should be ready to go :)

Thats complicated.

I just
Download addon
Extract into addon folder in c:/program files/world of warcraft/interface/addons
Go in game
In character selection screen click "Use out of date addons"
And make sure all boxes are ticked.

Done.

When new major patches are released, like 2.3, some addons dont work due to changes in the API etc.

With this, every week or so you can open it, press F10 and they update in about a minute.
