View Full Version : Don't be lonely this christmas!

BBC News are advising users to log onto Habbo this christmas to avoid being lonely...

I personally think that its a little wrong to say that, because as quoted below, they are pushing users to socialise online over the christmas period, instead of what christmas should be - with family and freinds.
Social networking sites could eventually eliminate entirely the need for the offline socialising that has become the cornerstone of the festive season.

I find it a little bit of a push by Habbo to get more and more users. I bet 90% of this forum, 90% of Habbos won't be on christmas day, and I can't see why the BBC are pushing people to go online :S!

No I didn't it was just to get your attention, and how old was I then...10/11?

Lets not make this thread about me and my past, and more to the fact that BBC are making christmas online :o

EDIT: Nah, I am on every other day in the year apart from christmas day and boxing day, however will be doing some online play on my PS3 - poor router :(

FREECYCLE

Freecycle logo
Freecycle aims to reduce rubbish in landfill

If you have an interest in the environment and like the idea of reusing other people's junk, or have unwanted Christmas presents that you want to recycle then Freecycle could be for you.

The non-profit network is based on the premise that "one man's trash is another man's treasure" and is about harnessing the power of the internet to connect communities and 'gift' each other everyday objects that they no longer want.

It is a global network made up of over 4,000 groups. It now has in excess of four million members, and is adding 25,000 new members each week.

Each group is moderated by a local volunteer and the main thrust of it is to "reuse and keep good stuff out of landfills".

Each city has a unique e-mail group and anyone living in the area is welcome to post items to be given away or seek items that they want.

Infomation, it wasn't your username 3 to 4 years ago, it was more about 1 and a half years ago. I remember how stuck up you were, but hey, if you've changed...

And that is ridiculous, why would you encourage people to go on the computer more?

Most people do have a social life out of the internet and won't need to be on Habbo. First they say we need to get out to keep fit now they say come on on christmas day, then they move onto global warming lmao. I'm coming on like when i'm free to send trophies.

Humm, were maybe been a bit nasty here tbh.
Some people won't hardly get anything for xmas and there parents beat them up for no reason or there parents are druggies or alcholics so them people may feel lonely?

There must be a reason why BBC are recomending Habbo.
