Hello users,

Before you knew it, Christmas was here and gone - now we have to look towards 2008. Throughout 2007 I was involved in many projects, some which worked, some which did not, and now I am looking to prepare my projects for 2008. I have already lined up one project, which myself and my good friend Jamie will be executing over the next month, building upon over the coming months. The first project is a hosting business offering Shared and Reseller hosting using cPanel 11. More information about this will be revealed soon.

I am now looking to work for 1-3 'companies' within the Design, Administration or Public/Customer Relations. I do not currently have a CV uploaded, however I am working upon that. I am sure you will all be wondering 'why do we want him?' - this is why...

-Experience within Administration of many companies
- Fully equipped office including a business telephone, network of storage, online and offline computer, graphics tablet, mobile networking and communication
-Allot to offer including hosting, funding, contacts, licenses, knowledge and experience

Now, I don't want this to turn into an argument about how big I think I am. I am here to offer my experience, knowledge and services to projects within 2008, and I hope that the past can be kept in the past, and we can move on as a forum into 2008.

If you have a position which you feel I may be interested in, or would like to find out more information, please use the below contact methods;

Are you looking for a weekly pay? or a % per sale?

The post itself if professional however you are not. If anyone attempts to critisize your work you dont take it on board as any half decent designer would you blank it out and convince yourself its because of your past. Only when you start taking on feedback will you have a chance to be half decent. A forum is for opinions darren and I am giving my opinion on your services now so dont start on at me or it will just prove how right I am.

All depends on the project. If it was design contract, then maybe a weekly to monthly pay could be arranged, or if it was panel, then a % of sale or a set amount.

Really would have to be discussed in more detail, and I have no set plans for payment.

If Darren Toogood acts professional.. he is still Darren Toogood.

Lets keep personal thoughts and comments out of this thread. Serious interest only please.

Myth, I accept what you are saying. When it comes to people having a go at my work, I may not take it well however everyone thinks what they do is good, right?

Everyone doesn't think what they do is good, if I create a "layout", which I can not design worth a flip, and it looks awful.. I am not going to post it saying "THIS IS THE BEST DON'T TELL ME IT SUCKS"

Seriously.. if it looks like crap, it looks like crap, you can think its 'beautiful' all you want, but it still sucks.

One of the most powerful assets in designing is criticism, whether it is constructive criticism or not it is the most useful thing you could get. Remember, it's not what you think of your designs - it's what the people whether it be your client or the general public think of it, since after all you will not be the only person looking at it.

Learn it's values, and learn how to use it to you or to your works advantage when you receive it.

Lets remember guys this is not just about the design aspect. It is also what I have to offer as an administrator, working along side the other administrators to develop the company.

Anymore interest?

Thats whats called bigheadedness. I get to rate my layouts because its impossible to judge them myself, people design what they like to see not neccessarly what others like to see. When you get a better attitude towards webdevelopment you may start to become half decent.

Again, lets not make this about me, and mainly about the design.

This is also about the other services I have to offer. A note to any future employees, please do not let what these people say affect your views on my performance or what I have to offer.

I will leave my MSN on, however I may not be here to answer as I am going to play on my PS3 now.

One of the reasons, I will not hire you, is because you are naive, and "cocky"
you could put it.

You believe your work is the best although, it is good some of the time,
you cannot take critisism very well, and try to act professional about it,
but you are acting opposite to what a designer is meant to do.

I will only require your services if you can work as a designer, in commerical aspects, and personal aspects. Not just the one.

Again I have to repeat, lets not make this about my attitude to peoples feedback upon my design. My design may not be the best int he world however they are not the worst. This is not just about my design skills/services/attitude, this is about my services in general.

The more you post, the more it will put employers off, which is not fair on anyway. I am not just looking to be hired as a designer, infact I would like to be hired as administrator even more.

[email protected] if you wish to send me some feedback on my attitude towards design.

Why isnt it fair? You are just proving our points. A forum IS for opinions which we are giving, if people are looking to hire and pay you its unfair on them that they dont know what you are like, I personally would find it extrememly hard to work with you as would many on this forum, your not really a team player in my opinion.

Information.
26-12-2007, 07:03 PM
Your right, I am not a team player however I can carry out my work to the requirements which are stated. Tbh your not working in a team online, its text. I think alto of people have a problem with the way in which I type. Very to the point, maybe a little stuck up however thats the sort of person I am like.

If someone wants a project done to a deadline and to the requirements stated then I am your man, but if you want me to sit in a circle and talk about our lives, then I am not.

I wasn't trying to kick an arguement off there.
I was trying to help you, become a better designer, and more liked among
the designers etc, at HxF

-This is no offence to anyone on this forum!-

But if you are looking to work for 1 to 3 "companies", in a professional way, may I just ask... What are you posting this on an online game related forum with an audience not older then 18 ? (most).

I suggest you start looking for more professional forums or websites.
Have a search for companies yourself, see which ones are hireing, send in your cv.

But don't post it here, as you will not find any professional companies here.
Only webdesign-interested teenagers on their way to a hopefuly great future.
They are here to support eachother and require eachothers knowledge.

Anyway thats just my thought, now it's up to you wether you follow it or you don't.

Kind regards,
Olivier P.

Age does not matter now adays :)

To answer someones question, I am advertising here because there are alot of 'companies' which are run by young people. I put 'companies' because they may not be registered, however people referr to them as a company.
