[ foreverPANEL 0.0.1 ] Ideas?

Hey all.

I am now in the process of making a DJ Panel I am going to call foreverPANEL. I would like your ideas for what to put into the Beta 0.1 R1.

Please do not post comments saying; "Oh no, not another panel." or: "We don't need another panel!"

Also, you will have to apply for a license. No, it will not cost, but I will need your name, age, what you're using it for, etc. I will have a site for this.

So post your ideas and I will take them into deep consideration or if I love the idea, I'll put it into the panel. ^_^

Well, that's why I was asking for ideas.

Ideas that some other panels have not used.

I've been thinking of my own, but it's nice to hear what other people want in a panel, too.

Plus I have never seen you coding, so I don't have any idea if you can make a secure/reliable panel.. so really there is no point in you trying unless you want to release it..

Plus the license thing is stupid, it is a DJ panel, no use in licensing it, unless its "really good"

Mm. Sorry for my rudeness, I thought you were complaining.

It's going to be versions.

But it won't be like 0.0.1 to 0.0.2. The things that would most like be added in 0.0.2 would be built in with another version, so each release would be 0.0.4 to 0.0.7.

The way you have it setup is: Version, Build, Revision

EX: 1.6.9, Version 1: Build 6: Revision 9

zeJosh if you dont think somebidy can do it wait until they give up instead of putting them down in the process. Have you done a project like this? If the answer is yes wheres your panel? If your answer is no then you dont know the work involved in the project.

Yes, I've made a panel, but lets look at time, I wasn't on this forum when i made up, and I've given up on PHP. Not my thing. When I was making it I didn 't run around acting like I was going to rule the world with it and best the the pros.
(Like Yar is.)

You don't know this project is a failure, it could kick *** for all you know. Just because you failed, doesn't mean yar will. Sure, it might not be better the Simon's, or Caleb's, but who cares. It's a cool project to do in spare time.

Also most people dont create php scripts for glory but for expreiance. Also respect more experianced and less expreianced members of the forum (that applies to everyone).

Also the version numbering should be like:

version(everytime it is rebuilt from scratch),major updates(like a new feature),minor updates (like security updates or bug fixes)


Or you could do the ubuntu way so if it was relesased now it would be:

12(month).07(year)

Also alot of people should say sorry to Agesilaus, it must be extremely boring to edit so many posts...

Also unless you do the ubuntu method it almost always starts either as 0.1.0 or 0.0.1 until the release
