when i try connect to xbxo live the ip adress fails any1 no how to fix this

i think u need to go to network on your dashboard then change the IP adress thats on there to your comps IP Adress
if u want i can get u the excat steps. ;) im on the dashboard atm:P

Go To Your Dashboard
Go to the 'system' tab
Go down to Network Settings
click on ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
click on edit settings
then u change your IP
if that doesent work idk wot to do
o and idk how to find ur comps IP xP
u gotta let the xbox find ur ip thats wt i did by doing connection test

when i try tht it says it failed
summit with the connection on ur pc wat u use ethanet cable is so bridge connections

It depends what typeof connect5ion you are using. I put my ip and port in etc and tryed to connect and then set it to automatic and it worked.

Okay. With Virgin Media you will probably have a direct connection to your modem, if you are trying to connect the Xbox via Ethernet to your cable modem and the PC via USB to your cable modem at the same time. You cannot do this, its one or the other, USB or Ethernet not both at once with a cable modem.

Try:
1. Power off the modem and the Xbox, wait for 30 seconds. Power up the router, then the Xbox and try again
2. When using your PC with the modem direct, if you have to click on an icon to connect to the internet that has your ISP username/password details stored inside, you will need to enter those same details into the PPPoE section of the Xbox connect thingy
