Plug the ethernet cable into your laptop and connect your modem via USB and if you've already set up live on your console it should work.

If you have a router connected wirelessly to your modem you won't.

How do you currently connect to xbox live? (e.g. Console -> PC -> router -> modem OR console -> router -> modem)

everything will DC before it works
