If their was a god, surely she would let no one die over the Christmas holidays.. I feel really sad when people die so close or on Christmas or just after Christmas and its so annoying to think that there might actually be a god or someone/something like a god and she is NOT doing nothing about it :@

Yes they do, or else the world will become over crowded, imagine the amount of people born over christmas. If no one died then the build up of people every year would increase.

Perhaps the lord has them killed for the greater good of mankind, as the lord works in mysterious ways.

Due to the fact it's cold at winter, unfortunately, it's probably because of flu.

"It's a skull. It's my mothers. She always put it on the table every year to remind us that even though it's Christmas, people still die".

Aye that makes sense, we'll stop people dying in December and double the dosage between November 15th - 30th & 5th January - 20th January! *-):P

Because Christmas is a normal day like any other day, therefore people die.

It being Winter can't be a very major factor as its summer on the other side of the globe.
The holidays are just like every other day and people die every day.
However a few christmas holiday ones that may add to it are:
- Car accidents (lots of people driving around to go on holiday/visit relatives etc.)
- High uses of electricity (lights, displays etc. causing fires)
- Jealousy over what people get (murders, robberies etc.)
Some parts of the southern hemisphere (like Australia) - bushfires due to hot summer weather.
Some parts of northern hemisphere - cold/icy weather causing more accidents, spread of some diseases like the flu and cold-weather specific diseases like hypothermia.
That might help your answer, really we're killing ourselves.

Ouch, it seems very nasty when people die around Christmas. Car accidents are one of the most awful and common ones I hear around where I am in the world.

Why are you calling god a "she"? Excluding the fact that he isn't real anyway; god is a man.

wouldn't you find it a bit peculiar if no one died near christmas? and christmas is a holiday humans made, not a holiday god made, so if he exists, he doesnt take in mind christmas.

my grandma was a devout catholic, and died christmas day five years ago. i dont think its weird.

well apart from all that, strangely there's usually a natural disaster occuring in indonesia during this time of year. a few years back, it was the tsunami that striked, and now there's a terrible landslide. i know indonesia's really disaster-prone and all, but why is it always on the 26th of december.

For the majority of the world (muslim countries, asian countries ect) its just a normal day. Also there are alot of reasons people may die on xmas due to snow ect.

Yes it sad that someone close to you could pass away near christmas, a time for happyness and giving. But at the end of the day. Its life for you. This was the first christmas without my great grandma which made it sad but its life. People die every second of the day. With their being people born all the time, every day. It needs to happen.
