well i got a psp for christmas with only one game so it was a bit boring.
so i set about getting cutsom firmware for it.
i discovered though, that i had upgraded my psp before xmas while testing it, so it was on 2.81. this meant i had to upgrade it to downgrade it.
so i upgraded it to 3.03, but then discovered you need an unpatched version of gta:lcs.
so off i went into wolverhampton to have a look in the two games and gamestation.
first game store there was nothing.
but in the second one, we were just on our way out when my dad spotted it in the ps2 pile. it was only a tenner which was good, so my game card payed for that.
now finding an unpatched version is usually pot luck, the cases vary, the serial numbers are no different from unpatched to patched, so it really is luck of the draw.
anyway, the one we bought looked pretty old, and had (c) 2005 on it, so i was pretty hopeful.
i stuck it in the psp, and voila! it was the right one, containing update 2.0 rather than update 2.6.
so i did the downgrade in maplins, got home and installed the custom firmware.
yay!
